The Corporate Council on Africas (CCA) has built a reputation for producingpremier events based on access to and relationships with key private sector
leaders from the U.S. and Africa. CCAs U.S.-Africa Business Summit, a three
day event, will provide comprehensive information on the latest trade and
investment opportunities across Africas most promising sectors, including:
agribusiness, natural resources development, infrastructure, energy, power,
health, security, and good and services. You will have the opportunity to
network with key African and U.S. private sector and government leaders,
identify specific growth areas and hear detailed information about projects that
are ripe for investment. Discover the latest financing options, and meet
potential business partners, as well as numerous heads of state and keygovernment officials. The Summit has been hosted in several cities over the
years, including Baltimore, Houston, Philadelphia, Cape Town, and is now
returning to Washington, DC for the fourth time.
The African continent is among the fastest-growing economic regions in the
world, attracting foreign direct investment from businesses small to large from
around the globe. According to the Harvard Business Review, Africa and Asiawere the only continents to grow during the recent economic recession. Africas
growth rate increased to nearly 5% in 2010 and is likely to reach 5.2% in
2011. Africa offers a higher return on investment than any other emerging
market, according to UN data; and is home to a tremendous market of more
than 900 million potential consumers. This reliable growth is due not only to
the wealth of opportunities available in Africa, but also due to its continued
efforts for greater political stability and an unprecedented level of government
reform to attract foreign investment. Africa has proven itself to be an essential
asset for any company.
