Hahnlen Property Time- Critical Removal Action
East side of Lake Roosevelt, Columbia River
Believed to have become contaminated when mine ore was transported through the Site to from the YAM and YAM Mill
Young America Mine (YAM) Operated 1897 – 1953, Zinc, Lead, Silver, Gold
COC= Lead Hahnlen Property is
between the YAM and YAM Mill
Covered with one foot of gravel

Jack Waite Mine Site Removal Action
Located in Shoshone County, Idaho
Mostly federal lands under the jurisdiction of USFS and about (5%) private land
EPA and USFS coordinated their respective CERCLA authorities to conduct the removal
The Removal Action was signed on September 26, 2007 and the work and was concluded on October 2012
Lead contaminated material was consolidated in a repository (237,000 CY); the repository is about 11 acres

Lapwai School District Removal Action
The Lapwai School District performs maintenance and repair of school buses and equipment at the Bus Transportation and Maintenance facility. The facility contains a building with two bus repair/equipment bays and an office.
