Our Service Options
For just a few boxes or suitcases
weighing up to about 300lbs this is the
perfect service for you. We can collect
from ground floor most places in the USA
and ship to the door or airport at
destination. Prices are all inclusive and
based on the gross weight or volumetric
weight of the shipment. Typical transit
times are normally under 2 weeks.
Baggage Air Freight
For just a few boxes, suitcases, foot
lockers, plastic totes this is the perfect
service for you. You can drop off at one
of our 100 terminals around the world or
we can arrange collection from your
ground floor front door for an extra
charge. We shrink wrap your boxes on a
pallet and load in shipping containers.
Prices normally include customs
clearance and all port fees and are all
inclusive through to delivery of pallet to
driveway / curbside.
Baggage Sea Freight
If you have a lot of boxes then the shared container
service will work best. Everything needs to be packed
into a box, suitcase, or trunk.. This is a similar service to
baggage and goes in the same shipping containers but is
for larger shipments. You can drop off at one of our 100
terminals around the world or we can arrange collection
from your ground floor front door for an extra charge. We
shrink wrap your boxes on a pallet and load in shipping
containers. Prices normally include customs clearance
and all port fees and are all inclusive through to delivery
into your residence at the destination. Note, boxes of the
same size stack better together
Shared Container Service
If you would like to load your own pallet we can
send you a pallet, securing straps and plastic
cover for an additional $150 on top of the door to
door baggage or shared container service price.
Keep it as long as you like and when its all
loaded call us and we will collect it from your
driveway or garage. This is great if you have
some awkward or fragile items that you want to
make sure fits on the pallet in a specific way or
an item that doesn't fit in a box that you want to
secure in the middle with boxes surrounding it to
keep it secure and safe.
Pallet Shipping
The cheapest way to ship boxes is our terminal to
terminal service that we call Cheap Ship. Beware
though this is no red carpet service. You drop the
items off at a shipping agents terminal, they get
shrink wrapped on a pallet and loaded in a
container and shipped to the destination terminal.
You will then have to customs clear your things or
pay a customs broker to do this for you
(Approximately $150) you will then have to pay port
charges or terminal handling charges before you
are allowed to collect your items from the shipping
agents terminal at destination. This can be a few
hundred dollars depending on size and destination.
Cheap Ship
Exclusive to UPakWeShip, the U Box can take 50
cubic feet of boxes and small furniture items. We
ship this to you flat packed (see picture insert) you
put it together and fill it up in your garage or
parking lot and we collect it and ship it to a
terminal or your driveway / curbside or door
overseas. This is safe shipping at its best! It comes
with the pallet, 4 straps, plastic cover, labels and
of course the box. Advantages are, everything
travels together as one lot and it’s a lump sum
price for whatever you can fit in the U Box so you
know up front the exact all inclusive low cost price.
The U Box….. my personal
favorite!
The U Crates are made of wood and
come in 100 and 150 cubic feet sizes.
(Dims are 86x48x42 or 86x48x62.9
inches high) As they are big and heavy
you have to take your things to the
terminal and load it. Once loaded you
can lock them with padlocks and we will
load it in a shipping container and ship it
to the overseas terminal or through to
your door. U Crates are very useful if you
have furniture items that wont fit into
boxes.
The U Crate
Designed to fit snuggly in shipping
containers, they are available at some of our
terminals. The lift van is about 195 cubic
feet. It will hold approximately 150 to 160
cubic feet of goods. You can fit, depending on
the size of the items, beds, sofas and
mattresses in them. Internal dims are
approximately 86 L x 44 W x 81 inches H. You
can load the lift van at some of our terminals
and we can ship through to door or terminal
at the destination.
The Lift Van
These 20 foot containers are perfect if
you have a lot of shipping boxes and
furniture. A 20 foot can hold the average
3 bedroom house and a 40 foot most
large houses or a smaller house plus car,
boat or motorcycle. If you are ok packing
everything, but your worried about
loading it yourself, hire a local mover to
help you and ask them to bring a walk
ramp. You will still save thousands
compared to hiring an International
Mover!
Self Load Shipping Container
Although extremely rare, as you can see it can
happen and I’ll guarantee it per Murphy’s Law it
will happen to someone that didn’t take out
insurance ! Our Silver Insurance option covers
these types of catastrophes and also if a carton
went missing or some boxes got wet. The rate is
2% of the value so if for example you insured all
your items for $5000 the premium would only
be $100 so well worth the coverage. Insurance
will cover you against any outside force
damaging your items but not if you didn’t pack
it well so invest in plenty of bubble wrap !

If you can pack your own boxes but need help
with packing the furniture we can do that too
or contact your local mover for help.
If you need storage we can often arrange
storage either at the origin or destination for
as long as you need.
If you need anything else that we have not
covered we can either do it or have enough
friends in this business that we will know

Additional Services
Movers will tell you that you can not pack your
own things as its against the law or the very least
will cause huge problems with customs at the
destination resulting in delays. This is totally
False and spread by those who employ packers at
a cheap rate per hour and provide you a packing
service often costing you thousands. If you follow
our documentation procedures there will be no
delays due to you packing things yourself. In fact
by the time we have finished with you, your
documentation will look as good if not better than
a mover and customs at the destination will have
no idea whether you packed the things yourself
or a mover packed them for you.
Old Wives Tales
And an apple a day works too!
It doesn’t matter which service you choose
unless its Air freight, your boxes, crate, U
Box, U Crate or lift van will be loaded into a
shipping container at one of our shipping
terminals and then loaded onto a container
vessel. These shipping containers carry most
of the worlds trade between countries and is
the safest, waterproof and secure method of
transport. For larger shipments we will bring
you a shipping container to your residence for
you to load.
Shipping 101
If the boxes you are using don’t list the cubic feet on them,
measure in inches the Length x Width x Height, multiply
together and divide by 1728 and that will give you the cubic
feet of your carton. Now if you want to work out the volume
of the whole shipment, stack all your boxes together into a
big square or cube and again measure the longest, widest
and highest points of the stack, multiply them together and
divide by 1728 and that will be your volume.
If your not sure if your things will fit in one of our U Boxes or
U Crates then using masking tape or blue painters tape,
mark the dimensions on your floor and wall to see if
everything will fit in that area.
If all your belongings would fit in a single garage then they
will fit in a 20 foot shipping container.
Math 101 (How to work out your
cubic feet)
If you are going to use our Baggage, shared container or cheap ship options, your things will be stacked on pallets 48 x 40 inches and the height will be based on the highest point of the pallet so try this at home by stacking your things in an area 48”x40” using a tape measure and masking tape. For shipments through to door we guarantee our prices.
You will NOT be charged any extra charges at the destination unless it is backed up with an official receipt
such as customs duties on a new item or AQIS (quarantine fee in Australia or “Maf” in New Zealand).
No other shipping company offers you this guarantee.
Ask others that you have requested a quote from if there are any extras on top off their price and they will
tell you that you "might" have to pay for customs inspection or x ray or security fees at the destination. No
one will tell you how much it will cost you but this could easily be an extra $200 charged at the destination
with no back up paperwork that you have no option but to pay if you want your things.
UPakWeShip WILL NOT charge anything extra at the destination unless we have documented proof that an
extra charge did occur, and in the very rare event that something does occur, we will pass that cost on over
to you at our cost with documented proof that it occurred.
