In the heart of the cityTheUNIGE’svariousfacilitiesaresituatedintheheartofthecity.UniBastions,inaugu-ratedin1872intheparkoppositetheMurdesRéformateurs,istheoldestbuilding.TodayithousestheFacultyofArts,theAutonomousFacultyofProtestantTheology,andtheInstitutefortheHistoryoftheReformation.Sciences,meanwhile,havetheirheadquartersinthreemainbuildings(SciencesI,IIandIII)onthebanksoftheArve.Notfaraway,theGeneva-LausanneSchoolofPharmacyhashaditshomesince2004inabuildingneartheInstituteofPhysics.TheUniversityMedicalCentre(CMU),closetoGenevaUniversityHospitals(HUG),housesmuchoftheFacultyofMedicine,notablyitsbasicmedicalresearchlaboratories.InauguratedinNovember1999, theUniMailcomplexisoneofSwitzerland’s largestuniversityfacilities.UniPignon,onthesamegrounds,hasaccommodatedpartoftheFacultyofPsychologyandEducationalSciencessince2003.
