The 1540 Committee itself does not provide assistance but it has a match making role to facilitate assistance by others for implementation of the resolution

• BWC ISU nominated by the BWC Chair as point of contact for BWC issues

•• WHO, OIE, andWHO, OIE, and FAOFAO are encouraged to enhance cooperation and information sharing with the 1540 Committee on technical assistance and all other issues of relevance for the implementation of resolution 1540 (2004), within their mandates, and provide the 1540 Committee with a point of contactpoint of contact
