The first time round: not quite.

As a result of there being a lack of important information being within the video presentation recorded on March 20th 2015, it was agreed I would re-do the pitch through a audio narration.

Following that attempt however and evaluation by the assessor which I shall share feedback for shortly, a Merit grade has been obtained by myself.

See my Unit 40 blog – https://hptechkashmirehawkerunit40.wordpress.com/ao4-presentation-pitch for both things.Did the Pitch hit the

mark?

The feedback which a scanned copy will be available on the AO5 section of the blog with this presentation has been mixed across each section.

There was four separate sections to the pitch he has looked at – first being resources which were used to create the pitch. It has been stated that what I used was fairly good, but I didn’t the elements quite right; the main bit of feedback here is to not focus on the journey to Mount Snowdon too much and create a new sequence for the opening, which will make it easier to produce the disaster that happens above ground.

On to the 2nd part of this being the Narrative and Characterisations; the strength with this part was the combination of supernatural elements with the event itself. Lots of improvements can be made though – rightly pointed out by Sir was what was the event that wiped out civilisation; the reasons for the ghosts being the film, what is the mitigation of the ghosts and their aims and their dangers.

What was the Producer’s Feedback?

Part three is easy enough – resources and feasibility has been marked as well broken down and detailed for this type of project.

And Style Devices and Justification is the final bit of things. In his words, I have a very good description of costumes and location designs which pleases me a lot. For improvements, Cinematography should be an option to add to the style, as well as handheld filming t increase the atmosphere. Considering what the event was and how the world was afterwards: E.G bodies lying in any roads that are left would have a good impact.

What was the Producer’s Feedback? (Continued)

From the feedback I’ve got and my own point of view, I certainly would say so. With further comments from Sir, like things are well structured, the cast and crew are suitable to the idea and the sample material produced very well highlighting what is within the movie, I am more than happy to confirm this!

Is the Content Correct?

Page 6: Unit 40 - AO5; Pitch Feedback

Be more explicit in what event, the film is based around Use handheld camera angles at particular points in the film to

create more atmosphere Consider using the sequence for the opening outlined Make it clear what the ghosts are doing and why State how problematic the journey will be for the family

involved Greater use of Cinematography throughout
