I. During World War I the world was introduced to new industrial technologies designed for war
II. The industrialization of the world led to new military technologies that allowed armies to become more deadly
III. New military technologies include: A. Machine guns, tanks, airplanes, chemical weapons,
artillery
Trench Warfare I. By 1915 the Allies and Central powers had both
dug deep trenches for protection
II. The area between the trenches became known as “no man’s land”

III. Soldiers would leave their trenches and rush to the enemy lines in hopes of taking control of their trenches

I. British government intercepts a secret message sent from Germany to the Mexican government

and Mexico A. If Mexico attacked the United States Germany promises to
help Mexico fight the U.S.A. B. Germany would help Mexico get the land they lost to the
