    Ricoh delivers next generation print to Unilever across Europe

    Unilever, one o the worlds leading suppliers o ast moving consumer goods,

    has extended the scope o its Managed Document Services Agreement withRicoh rom ve to twenty seven countries across Europe. Ricoh will provide

    ecient and cost eective solutions or Unilevers oce and home workingemployees. The new services will provide a urther return on investment by

    delivering increased eciency across all Unilevers European operations.

    The Next Generation Print Project in Europe

    includes the implementation o a range o

    solutions and services in the Ricoh portolio

    that meet with Unilevers requirements. The

    objective o the project is to implement

    a fexible and cost eective document

    management solution which ocuses strongly

    on Unilevers Green IT strategy. Ricoh and

    Unilever are working together to achieve this

    inrastructure throughout Europe

    Meeting the latest Energy Star

    requirementsIntroducing a Print Policy

    throughout Europe

    and environmental impact

    Reducing paper waste and power

    Ricohs Managed Document Services will be

    oered as a fexible two-tier model where the

    scope o the service varies according to thesize and requirements o each Unilever site.

    The service includes an assessment o the

    current document output including security

    and document bottlenecks. It will reveal

    hidden costs and then optimise devices while

    ocusing on reducing the environmental

    impact o energy and C02 emissions.

    Ricoh and Unilever agreed a selection o

    multiunctional devices and printers which

    will be connected to Unilevers network.

    The home oce solution includes Ricohs

    energy ecient Gelsprinters with GelJet

    technology. These highly ecient printers not

    only conserve energy resources, but also cut

    energy costs.

    Ricoh is also providing reporting at site,

    country and European level utilising @Remote

    Enterprise-Pro, Ricohs remote management

    tool. This will increase Unilevers visibility

    o energy consumption, print volumes,

    CO2 emissions and toner recycling. The

    environmental reporting will be incorporated

    in the overall Green IT metrics.

    A bespoke print policy has been developed

    and upon deployment will assist Unilever in

    achieving its cost and environmental objectives.

    Ricoh has been the primary supplier to

    Unilever in Europe or general oce print

    solutions since 2004. Unilever chose Ricoh as

    its continued business partner or its customer

    driven approach, ability to oer fexible

    Managed Document Services and extensive

    European ootprint. This ensures service and
