Types of Disabilities
Examples:
• Motor Impairments: A disability affecting the ability to control muscle movement.
(cerebral palsy, arthritis, paralysis, limb loss)
• Visual Impairments: any kind of vision loss
• Hearing Impairments: full or partial decrease in the ability to detect or understand sounds
• Speech Impairments: difficulties producing speech sounds or problems with voice quality
• Learning Disabilities: when there is a significant difference between one's ability and achievement

Health and Nutrition
•Providing food and Vitamin A supplements
•Making sure children are vaccinated against killer diseases, such as measles
•Serving people with health kits

Water and Environmental Sanitation

• UNICEF sets up schools in camps to help children to fill their days and to
have a sense of normalcy. • Schools are set up within an environment called
a Child Friendly Space.

• Providing tents for shelter
• Registering separated children, tracing family and reuniting them
• Establishing children centers to provide support for children who have suffered trauma
• Training workers for children centers so they can offer the best support
• UNICEF works to prevent the trafficking of children, of which refugee children are very vulnerable.
