We will be transitioning the main portion of EMI Recorded Music product into Universal Music Canada

on April 1st, 2013. This will allow you to place your order for all of our physical product under one

account number, receive your order under one consolidated shipment, and return product in one

PLEASE NOTE: the only physical products that you must continue to order under your existing EMI account number will be on a product listing that will be posted to umusicbiz.ca. This is product that UMC will be divesting in the future; we will update you on the status of that product. ORDERS: Effective Monday March 25, 2013 EMI Music Canada will cancel all back orders for the attached EMI Music Canada products moving to UMC. Hailing from Linköping, Sweden, Ghost B.C. formed in in 2008. They released their heralded debut album, Opus Eponymous,

on October 18, 2011. UK’s Metal Hammer praised the album saying it was “an arcane occult feast,” while this side of the

pond Decibel Magazine hailed they “compel on pretty much every sensory level,” and the Village Voice proclaimed "GHOST

is Swedish, heavy, and tasked with slicing your soul to bits‐‐or at least your ears." In 2011, Ghost B.C. performed at the

annual Download Festival in the United Kingdom. The band’s fanbase began to swell and not long after added some of Hard

Rock’s finest to this group. Additionally that year, Ghost B.C. took part in the Defenders of Faith III tour with Trivium, In

Flames and Rise to Remain. In early 2012, they embarked on their first tour of the United States and later that year shared

the stage with Mastodon and Opeth on their Heritage Hunter Tour in North America. That summer the band was invited by

Metallica’s James Hetfield to perform on the main stage of Metallica’s first annual Orion Music + More festival.

At the age of 19, Andrew Loog Oldham discovered the Rolling Stones and became their first manager and producer from 1963-1967. He had previously served as publicist for both The Beatles and Bob Dylan's first historic visit to the UK. He later went on to form the influential recording label Immediate (Small Faces/Humble Pie/Rod Stewart), which was one of the first independent record labels in the UK. In the mid-60s, Oldham created a musical side project, "The Andrew Oldham Orchestra," and released The Rolling Stones Songbook in 1966. The recordings were made by Oldham using session musicians, including members of the Rolling Stones as well as Steve Marriott of the Small Faces and Humble Pie. The Rolling Stones Songbook included an orchestral arrangement of "The Last Time" by the Rolling Stones, which was later famously rediscovered in the 1990s when The Verve sampled a string loop from the orchestral arrangement in their worldwide smash hit "Bitter Sweet Symphony." 47 years after the release of The Rolling Stones Songbook, The Andrew Oldham Orchestra & Friends returns with Plays The Rolling Stones Songbook Volume 2 on March 26th, 2013. The recording began in 2011 when Oldham started producing fusion guitarist Gary Lucas (Gods & Monsters, Captain Beefheart's Magic Band, and Jeff Buckley collaborator) with a number of Colombian and Canadian musicians. He started recording instrumental versions of Mick Jagger and Keith Richards songs and the project naturally grew to include many old and new friends including Johnny Marr of The Smiths, Modest Mouse & The Cribs, Gruff Rhys of Super Furry Animals, Vashti Bunyan, Al Kooper and many more. In addition to 12 interpretations of classic Rolling Stones favorites, Plays The Rolling Stones Songbook Volume 2 also features the Andrew Oldham Orchestra's version of The Verve's "Bittersweet Symphony" featuring Vashti Bunyan...bringing the two collections full circle. Andrew Loog Oldham is currently the host of his own radio show on Sirius XM Satellite Radio (Found on Little Steven's influential Underground Garage channel). He has recently made headlines for the lost Rolling Stones documentary Charlie Is My Darling, of which he produced and was released late last year to worldwide acclaim as well as the final part of his triography Stoned Free in which he and other music figures recount his days as a manager, producer and impresario.

Sarah Vaughan was already considered one of the greatest singers of her era when she signed with Mercury Records in 1954. She was given the charge to record jazz for the subsidiary EmArcy, pop for the main label Mercury, though the assignments sometimes overlapped.
