Area is served by 2 operating companies• SATCO Lower valley – cities of Springfield, Holyoke and
suburbs• UMass Transit Northern Valley 8 rural communities Pop:

UMass Operating area consists of 8 communities Largest Amherst and Northampton Five Colleges –UMass, Amherst College, Smith
College, Mount Holyoke College and Hampshire College

Five Colleges Service from 6am to 3 am 7 days per week
during the academic calendar UMTS operates about 1 millions miles per year,

15 full time employees and 150+/- part time student employees
