2. You should bring with you for verification the original certificates, degrees/ diplomas, proof of age (Matriculation/Higher Secondary Certificate), experience certificate(s) and any research or other paper that you have published in support of the education/research qualifications as mentioned by you in your application. You are also required to bring a brief/synopsis of about 500 words about your proposed research programme, if applied for Ph.D.

3. If employed, you are advised to bring with you a ‘No Objection Certificate’ to the effect that you will be relieved by your employer in the event of your selection. 4. Application form and TA form are available in the Ministry’s website www.education.nic.in and you are requested to bring 3 (three) copies of the filled application. (signature should be original in each form). You are further requested to obtain original recommendation letters from your three referees. The photocopy of these original letters should be attached to the application forms. Attested copies of mark-sheets, degree certificates and age proof should be attached with each application separately. These should be properly tagged to each application. All supporting documents should be attached with each application. 5. Each copy of application should contain the following:-

A) Photograph (firmly stapled) to the appropriate place on the application form;

B) Inside the application form in descending order:

i) Plan of study, which should in the case of a research proposal set

out clearly the aims and intentions of the study, though this may have later to be modified in the light of negotiation with scholar’s supervisor.

ii) Photocopy of the reports from three referees (note:- considerable delay is

caused when reports from only one or two referees have been submitted with an application).

iii) Attested copy of University or College Records in descending

chronological order.

iv) Photocopy of N.O.C. from employer (if employed). 6. If you fail to bring the requisite documents and papers as required in paras 2,3,4 and 5 above you will neither be interviewed nor be paid any travelling allowance mentioned in para 8 and other action could also be taken against you.

7. Candidates should have adequate knowledge of India and the donor country. The candidate’s general personality, maturity, general awareness of current events in India/abroad and Indian History as well, shall count towards his/her final selection.

8. Candidates coming from outside Delhi/New Delhi will be paid the cost of the Second Class rail fare by Mail/Express train, lower class bus fare (where rail facilities are not available, from the place given in your mailing address or actual travel, whichever is short, in India to Delhi and back). Fare will be admissible by the shortest route, and where return tickets are available only the cost of such return tickets will be paid. T.A. claim form is enclosed which may please be completed and handed over when you appear for interview. As interview may continue till late evening, please get your return journey ticket arranged keeping this in view. 9. It must be clearly understood that the date and time of your interview are finally fixed and cannot under any circumstances be altered. You are, therefore, advised to take all precautions to arrive in time. 10. If the degree and other certificates are in Hindi, English version of those certificates are also to be enclosed, failing which those certificates in Hindi will not be considered by the donor country. 11.
