UFLEX EXHIBITS AT PACK EXPO INTERNATIONAL 2010UFLEX participated in Pack Expo International 2010 at Chicago. Pack Expo International 2010 was an international exposition on Packaging and Processing and was the largest trade show of its kind in the world in 2010. It was staged at the well-known McCormick Place exhibition venue at Chicago, USA between the 30th of October and the 3rd of November, 2010.

Pack Expo is organised by the Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Institute (PMMI), which is the largest trade association of its kind in the world with over 560 member companies. It is organised concurrently with CPP, an international trade show on Conversion and Package Printing.

The 2010 event was a huge success with 44,294 trade visitors from 125 countries and 20,351 exhibitor personnel mak-ing up a total attendance of 64,6445 people over the 5 days. The show was staged over 1,054,500 square feet of net space and on display were exhibits from 1,835 exhibitors from over 110 countries, an increase of 7% over the number present at the last edition in 2008. The major feature of this event was Innovation. There was a 23.5% increase in in-ternational attendance at the show.

FLEX FILMS EXHIBITS AT TAROPAK 2012

Flex Films exhibited at Taropak 2012, the international exposition on Packaging that was held at Poznan in Poland

between the 8th and 11th of October 2012. Taropak is held once every two years and is the largest trade show on

Packaging in Eastern Europe.

This year’s edition of Taropak featured over 600 exhibitors from 30 countries spread over more than 30,000 sq meters

of net exhibition space. It drew over 44,600 visitors. Some 130 new products were on display in addition to the regular

portfolios of the exhibiting companies.

This was the first time Flex Films was showcasing our products at an international trade show since the start-up of

our new plant at Wrzesnia in Poland in June 2012. Our new plant in Poland houses a state-of-the-art 8.7 meter wide

Biaxially Oriented Polyester Film line running at 500 meters per minute that can turn out 36,000 MT of film per year

complemented by a state-of-the-art plasma enhanced high-barrier metalliser that can convert 6,000 MT of films per

year. This is the first Polyester Film plant to be set up in Poland and is part of our corporate plan to set up strategically

located film lines as close as possible to major film markets to enable customers to get just-in-time deliveries of freshly

made films.

WRZESNIA CITY COUNCIL VISITS POLAND PLANT

We were honoured to host the Wrzesnia City Council at our Poland plant. The 24-member Wrzesnia City Council headed by Mayor Tomasz Kaluzny and Deputy Mayors Jan Maciejewski and Artur Mokracki visited our Poland plant on 7th of January 2015.

They were received by our Poland team and taken around the plant.
