“I love learning and working in a Department of Music that is big enough to do great performances, but not so big that people go unnoticed. When we perform on campus or in amazing venues throughout the country and abroad, it feels like you’re working and making music with family.”- Nick Tyler, undergraduate student
“At UAB, world class faculty, stellar facilities, and exceptional students come together to create the heartbeat of the university and the arts in Birmingham. Music education is changing lives at UAB!” - Dr. Denise Gainey, Associate Professor of Clarinet
