INSPIRE (Institute for Sustainable Practice, Innovation and Resource Efficiency) will be launched at University of Wales Trinity St David in September 2011.

Hay on Earth is an important landmark in the sustainability calendar with a series of cutting edge talks and workshops, including a chance to win a share of £40,000 at Green Dragonʼs Den.

The Do Lectures launched in 2008 by David and Claire Hieatt and co-founded by TYF, share stories that inspire action for change. In the first 3 years the talks have been viewed over 3 million times.

TYF are leading innovators, in the design of memorable events and experiences. For 25 years, we've delivered exhilarating programmes to tens of thousands of participants and hundreds of clients in a dozen countries, introducing the world to coasteering and starting a world kayak championship along the way.

TYF are on a mission to make good things happen faster. Our work is underpinned by our strong values to look after our environment and communities and the recognition of the shift to one planet, sustainable living. We create experiences which change lives and last long in the memory.

TYF live in St Davids, Pembrokeshire, one of the most beautiful, inspirational and creative corners of the British Isles. St Davids is the wellspring, soul and hub of the energy, passion and play that we share on our events, wherever theyʼre run on this lovely planet.

We design for our clientʼs needs, delivering world class programmes from adrenalin-fueled coasteering to in-depth consultancy on systems thinking. We guide organisations, teams and individuals to improve, getting themselves fitter & faster for high performance and a smarter future.

1. Team ExperienceA morning to learn, explore, play and connect whilst on a magical sea level exploration of Walesʼ only coastal national park, with an option of choosing coasteering or kayak as the mode of travel.

Coasteering: scramble, leap, jump and swim your way around cliffs of rugged beauty with the company who invented this wild sport. Explore your comfort zone, build team spirit, bond with colleagues, increase personal confidence and most importantly, enjoy a few hours of pure adrenalin-soaked fun.

Kayaking: a low-impact, floating cruise from bay to bay on sit-on-top kayaks, uncovering the hidden gems that remain unseen from other boats or the shore. Explore caves and deep inlets on calm days, and when the sea is animated, enjoy the roller coaster ride between islets and reefs.

2. Team ChallengeAn afternoon of tasks and activities to put your teamʼs communication skills and team working to the test. See the effects of collaboration and rapid learning as a team, capturing insight that can be reapplied in the workplace. Understand how 'back casting' can accelerate your team's success, see the benefit of understanding the bigger picture and reconfirm the ʻwho does whatʼ of achieving the results you need.

1. Applied Improv Toolkit - whatever happens, whatever other people say or do, thereʼs always choice to be had in the way that we respond and make a situation better or worse for our contribution. The skills of Improv offer a powerful tool chest that turn ʻyes, butʼ into ʻyes, andʼ with deft use of language and behaviour.

Work on individual pieces or create one large scale item that can take pride of place back at work.

3. Scrap Shac Ali – a master of her craft, Pembrokeshire sculptor Dawny Tootes works with groups to communicate the importance of reuse and recycling by turning waste aluminium into one-off designs and sculptures. From her mobile workshop, Dawny demonstrates the versatility of liquid aluminium and invites groups to join the exhilarating process of conceiving, moulding then holding an object that's flown from crucible to form. As individuals or as a team, participants produce a piece of silvery, textured magic that's theirs to keep.

“if as artists we can communicate and move the soul then we can make a difference, Dawny’s work will live on for me and for all who share it”
