Hero Honda motors ltd is the world largest manufacturer of two wheelers based in india. The company is a joint venture between India hero group and Honda motors group that began in 1984. Today every second motor cycle sold in the country is a hero honda bike. It is manufactured globally but the two of this are based at gurgaon and dharuhera which are located in haryana and the latest manufacturing plant is based in the hill state of Uttarakhand.

Bajaj Auto is a major indian vehicle manufacturer started by Rajastani merchant. The company is headed by Rahul Bajaj (Chairman),Rajiv Bajaj (MD). It is based at pune,maharashtra with plants in chakan(Pune),waluj(Aurang abad) and Pantnagar(Uttaranchal). It came into exitence in 1945 as Bachraj trading corporation pvt ltd.

TVS motor is the 3rd largest two wheeler manufacturer in india and one among the top ten in the world. The company has 4 plants located at Hosur and Mysore in south india and at Himachal pradesh in north india and 1 at Indonesia. It was founded in 1978. A technical collaboration with the Japanese auto giant resulted in the jointventure Ind Suzuki Limited in 1982 between Sundaram Clayton Ltd and Suzuki Motor Corporation.
