WHAT IS TWITTER?
PAPER OBJECTIVE To study the topology of the characteristics of
Twitter and its power as a new medium of
information sharing

CONCLUSION We ranked users by number of followers and
PageRank – similar result Ranking by number of ReTweets differ from
the other two – indicates a gap in influence from the number of followers and the popularity of tweets
Ranking by ReTweets expose influence of other media in a new perspective
Once ReTweeted, a tweet gets retweeted almost instantly on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th hops away from the source
ReTweet allows relay of information propagation
