nay cuõng kyû nieäm 50 Naêm thaønh laäp Coâng Ñoàng Vaticanoâ II vaø 20 naêm kyû nieäm Saùch Giaùo Lyù cuûa Giaùo

Hoäi Coâng Giaùo. Trong caùc hoäi ñoaøn haõy coá gaéng ñem Saùch Coâng Ñoàng Vaticanoâ II ñeå chia seõ haàu laøm cho

ñôøi soáng ñöùc tin ñöôïc phaùt trieån toát ñeïp. Chuùng ta cuõng ñoïc kinh Naêm Ñöùc Tin trong caùc thaùnh leã ngaøy

thöôøng vaø caùc chuùa Nhaät ñeå caàu cho nieàm tin cuûa chuùng ta ñöôïc vöõng chaéc trong caùc gia ñình vaø caùc hoäi

ñoaøn.

Chuùa Nhaät Tuaàn naøy Giaùo Hoäi Hoa Kyø môøi chuùng ta caàu nguyeän cho söï baûo veä söï soáng töø luùc sinh ra cho

ñeán luùc qua ñôøi caùch töï nhieân. Töø naêm 1973, tôùi nay khi toøa aùn toái cao ñaõ cho pheùp phaù thai ñaõ coù ñeán gaàn

40 trieäu em beù ñaõ bò gieát caùch ñau thöông. Nhieàu ngöôøi Vieät Nam chuùng ta cuõng ñaõ phaù thai vaø tham gia

vaøo söï phaù thai. Chuùng ta haõy coá gaéng soáng giôùi luaät cuûa Chuùa laø ñieàu raên thöù naêm- Chôù gieát ngöôøi- Khoâng

phaûi gieát caùc em nhoû voâ toäi maø thoâi, nhöõng ngöôøi gìa cuõng bò gieát cheát moät caùch khoâng nöông tay. Chuùng ta

haõy yeâu meán nhöõng vò cao nieân cuûa chuùng ta ñöøng laøm cho caùc ngaøi ñau khoå vì caùc ngaøi ñaõ ñau khoå nhieàu

roài.

Lôøi Chuùa trong Chuùa Nhaät tuaàn naøy giaùo huaán chuùng ta veà söï chung thuûy trong hoân nhaân. Ngaøy nay nhieàu

gia ñình ñang raïn nöùt trong hoân nhaân vì chuùng ta laáy nhau khoâng coù muïc ñích laø aên ñôøi ôû kieáp vôùi nhau.

Laáy nhau vì nhöõng ñieàu kieän veà tieàn baïc vaø danh voïng maø thoâi. Chuùa khuyeán caùo chuùng ta haõy soáng moät

vôï moät choàng vaø hoøa thuaän vôùi nhau. Haõy hy sinh vaø tha thöù cho nhau thì hoân nhaân môùi haïnh phuùc. Thaùnh

May the Lord bless us all the days of our lives

Dear Parishioners of Our Lady of La Vang,

October is a month of the Holy Rosary. We need to recite the Holy Rosary in order to pray for the world‘s

peace as the Blessed Virgin Mary instructed the three Children of Fatima. I hope your family will recite the

Holy Rosary together at night before bed time in order to pray for the unity and peace of your own family. We

also begin the Year of Faith 2012- 2013. Pope Benedict the 16th invites all the children of the world to use this

year as to commemorate 50th years of the Second Vatican Councils and 20 years of the Catechism of the Cath-

olic Church. I also invite your small groups to study the Documents of Vatican II on the Lumen Gentium- the

Light of the World- so you will understand the message of how to be evangelizers in your own capacity. To-

day is also Respect Life Sunday. The U.S Bishops invite all the faithful to pray for an end to abortion in our

land. Since 1973, the United Supreme Court legalized the abortion of our country. The statistic tell us that

there are approximately 40 million baby were killed in our country. The atrocity of killing of babies in our

country is horrendous. We need to live up to the Lord’s standard by following the Fifth Commandment’ Thou

shall not kill” . We need to focus on the mercy killing and euthanasia as well. The Lord does not want us to

kill the elderly and those who are disabled. They are also God’s children. On this day, we ask the Lord to help

our country to reawaken the value of life in all stages. We need to defend the children and the aged and those

who have no voice.

The message for this 27th Sunday is about the bond of love that marriage creates between a man and a woman,

a bond that God wishes to be permanent. They challenge the spouses to practice the fidelity of their ever faith-

ful God. The First reading, from Genesis explains God’s original plan concerning sex and marriage. It teaches

us that God made man and woman for each other. Hence, in marriage, they are no longer two but one, united

by an unbreakable bond. The reading also describes the institution of marriage and shows that monogamy was

God’s intention form the very beginning. Today’s Gospel also gives Christ’s explicit teaching on marriage

and divorce, the divine origin of marriage, the sacredness of family life and the indissolubility of marriage.

These are difficult messages to preach in a society that embraces cohabitation and ignores both the escalating

divorce statistics and divorce’s dangerous consequences. The Gospel teaches that family is sacred, that hus-

band and wife are partners with equal rights and that the destruction of the family by divorce will result in the

destruction of society.

Queridos Feligreses de Nuestra Señora de La Vang

Octubre es el mes del Santo Rosario. Tenemos que rezar el Santo Rosario para orar por la paz del mundo como la

Santísima Virgen María dió instrucciones a los tres niños de Fátima. Espero que su familia rece el Santo Rosario

juntos en la noche antes de dormir con el fin de orar por la unidad y la paz de su propia familia. También comen-

zamos el Año de la Fe 2012 -2013. El Papa Benedicto XVI invita a todos los niños del mundo en utilizar este año

para conmemorar el 50 Aniversario del Segundo Concilio del Vaticano y 20 años del Catecismo de la Iglesia Ca-

tólica. Invito también a los grupos pequeños para estudien los documentos del Concilio Vaticano II en la Lumen

Gentium, la luz del mundo-para que entiendan el mensaje de cómo ser evangelizadores de su propia capacidad.

Hoy día también es Domingo Respeto a la Vida. Los obispos de Estados Unidos invitan a todos los fieles a rezar

por el fin del aborto en nuestro país. Desde 1973, la Corte Suprema legalizó el aborto en nuestro país. La estadísti-

ca nos dice que hay aproximadamente 40 millones de bebés que murieron en nuestro país. La atrocidad del asesi-

nato de bebés en nuestro país es terrible. Tenemos que vivir de acuerdo con las normas del Señor, siguiendo el

Quinto Mandamiento "No matarás". Tenemos que centrarnos en la eutanasia. El Señor no quiere que matemos a

los ancianos y los discapacitados. También son hijos de Dios. En este día, pedimos al Señor que ayude a nuestro

país para volver a despertar el valor de la vida en todas sus etapas. Tenemos que defender a los niños y los ancia-

nos y los que no tienen voz.

El mensaje de este domingo 27º es sobre el vínculo de amor que el matrimonio crea entre un hombre y una mujer,

un vínculo que Dios quiere que sea permanente. Desafían a los cónyuges para que practiquen la fidelidad de su

siempre fiel Dios. La Primera Lectura, del Génesis explica el plan original de Dios sobre el sexo y el matrimonio.

Nos enseña que Dios hizo al hombre y a la mujer el uno para el otro. Por lo tanto, en el matrimonio, que ya no son

dos, sino uno, unidos por un vínculo inquebrantable. La lectura también describe la institución del matrimonio y

muestra la monogamia, que era la intención de Dios de enseñar desde el principio. El Evangelio de hoy también

se da la enseñanza explícita de Cristo sobre el matrimonio y el divorcio, el origen divino del matrimonio, la santi-

dad de la vida familiar y la indisolubilidad del matrimonio. Se trata de mensajes difíciles de predicar en una socie-

dad que abraza convivencia e ignora tanto las estadísticas de divorcio crecientes y las consecuencias peligrosas de

divorcio. El Evangelio enseña que la familia es Sagrada, que el marido y la esposa son socios con igualdad de de-

rechos y que la destrucción de la familia por el divorcio tendrá como resultado la destrucción de la sociedad.

pagación de la Fe.

Well, on that day, you became a missionary,

called by our Lord to share your faith with those

around you—and to be part of the Church’s mis-

sion to the world. On World Mission Sunday, we

have the opportunity to be part of the Church’s

missionary work in Asia, Africa, Latin America

and the Pacific Islands through our prayers and

generous help offered to the Society for the Propa-

gation of the Faith.

Lạy Thiên Chúa là Cha trên trời,

Nguyện xin Chúa tuôn đổ Thánh Thần / tác động Lời Chúa trong lòng con / khơi dậy lòng

khát khao canh tân đức tin / và liên kết với Con Chúa là Đức Giêsu Kitô/ để con thật lòng tin

tưởng và sống Tin Mừng của Người.

Xin Chúa mở lòng trí và ban ơn vững tin / để con có thể công bố Tin Mừng cho tất cả mọi

người. Xin ban tràn đầy Thần Khí Chúa / giúp con mạnh dạn tiến bước và làm chứng Tin

Mừng / bằng cả lời rao giảng và hành động / suốt mọi ngày trong đời sống con.

Những khi ngại ngùng / xin Chúa dạy cho con biết / ngoài con ra / ai sẽ là người loan báo Tin Mừng của

Chúa? Nếu không thực hiện bây giờ / thì con còn chờ đến bao giờ? Và con sẽ công bố điều gì khác / nếu

không phải là chân lý Tin Mừng của Chúa?

Pour forth your Holy Spirit to inspire me with these words from Holy Scripture.

Stir in my soul the desire to renew my faith and deepen my relationship with your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ

so that I might truly believe in and live the Good News.

Open my heart to hear the Gospel and grant me the confidence to proclaim the Good News to others.

Pour out your Spirit, so that I might be strengthened to go forth and witness to the Gospel in my everyday life

through my words and actions.

In moments of hesitation, remind me:

If not me, then who will proclaim the Gospel?

If not now, then when will the Gospel be proclaimed?

If not the truth of the Gospel, then what shall I proclaim?

God, our Father, I pray that through the Holy Spirit I might hear the call of the New Evangelization to deepen

my faith, grow in confidence to proclaim the Gospel and boldly witness to the saving grace of your Son, Jesus

Christ, who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.

Fortalece mi alma el deseo de renovar mi fe y profundizar mi relación con tu Hijo, nuestro Señor Jesucristo,

para que verdaderamente pueda creer y vivir la Buena Nueva.

Abre mi corazón para escuchar el Evangelio y dame la confianza para proclamar la Buena Nueva a los demás.

Derrama tu Espíritu, para que yo pueda ser fortalecido para seguir adelante y presenciar el Evangelio en la vi-

da cotidiana a través de mis palabras y acciones.

En los momentos de vacilación, recuérdame:

Si no soy yo, ¿Quién va a proclamar el Evangelio?

Si no es ahora, ¿Cuándo el Evangelio será proclamado?

Si no es la verdad del Evangelio, ¿Qué he de proclamar?

Dios, nuestro Padre, te pido que por medio del Espíritu Santo pueda escuchar el llamado de la Nueva Evange-

lización a profundizar mi fe, crecer con la confianza para proclamar el Evangelio y valientemente dar testi-

monio de la gracia de la salvación de tu Hijo, Jesucristo, que vive y reina contigo, en la unidad del Espíritu

Santo, un solo Dios, por los siglos de los siglos.
