A MESSAGE FROM FATHER RICH

The parish continues to amaze me in how well you work together. What greater testament to that then the work that was done last weekend for the 150th. From the Knights cleaning the hall after the wedding reception on

Saturday and having it ready to set up the next morning. The number of individuals who were at the hall before 6

AM to set it the displays up. The Archbishop was very impressed as well. May that spirt continue for the next 150 years.

God Bless,

~ Father Rich

A note regarding Weekly Offering Envelopes

Just a helpful note to remind you to check your envelopes when using them each Sunday. There are times when there is a Special Collection Sunday which an envelope has been provided for in your monthly batch. These Special Collection envelopes are usually

found 1st before the General Fund envelope in your stack. They may (or may not) have something on the flap or on the back side indicating which Special Collection it is for.

Please make sure you flip over your envelope to the front side to ensure that you know that you are either giving to the General Parish Fund or the Special Collection for the week.

Thank you for your continued generosity to our parish fund as well as to the variety of needs throughout our

Archdiocese, our country, and our world! You make a difference!

These weekends offer so much to all who attend! Think about it ladies. We will let you know the dates for 2018 real soon!

Fr. Phil Krahman wishes to express his apologies for not making it to the anniversary celebration last week. His original

invitation said October 15th and that was what he put down on his calendar. He was really looking forward to meeting with all of

us and is disappointed that he missed it. He sends his best to all.

OUT AND ABOUT

DEACON NEAL’S REFLECTION CORNER

When you read this Sunday's Gospel, you may think that the theme is that you better be dressed properly when you're invited to a party. Not really. The parable tells of all being invited to the feast, and after those who were originally invited rejected it, anyone who his servants could find, were invited.

We have been invited to live eternally with God forever. Some reject that invitation but those who do accept the invitation have to do one thing; put on a white garment. That white garment is Jesus Christ!! Some people may want to come to the celebration of eternal happiness in heaven but not accept Christ and His Church. But that is not possible. If we have been invited and accepted the invitation, we need to clothe ourselves with Christ, do what he wants us to do and share in his feast for all eternity.

Jesus says that in order to do that, we have to take up our cross and follow him. Receive your white garment, take up your cross and come to the feast !!!

God Bless Deacon Neal
