Explanation: These are some of the scripts for a series of Minecraft Tutorial Videos that I was contracted to make by Curse, INC. The finished videos can be seen in the link underneath each script. Our process was to write the script, record the audio, produce and edit the video then upload and share it through our social media. Before our contract ended, we had built up a channel of over 125,000 subscribers. (Note: the editing and recording process was shared between myself and my work partner, hence the different voices in the videos) 1.8 FENCES Welcome to an all-new episode of Fence-Sense, where we tell you things that make sense about a fence. There’s not really a lot of things that make sense about a fence, apart from the obvious rhyming possibilities. The fence is a block in Minecraft, made from wood. There are 6 varieties of fence, one for each type of wood. The recipe is thus, using four wood planks and 2 sticks, which will return you 3 fences. They can also be found in the natural world, in generated structures like mine shafts, witch huts, strongholds and villages. While the fence block only looks 1 block high, it acts like it’s 1 ½ block high, means you and other mobs can’t jump over it. Pressure plates and carpets can be put on fences to make nice looking tables, and you can hitch a lead to it to tether your animals down. You can also get the Nether Brick fence, click up here for a video about that and up here for a video about Gates in Minecraft. 1.8 FENCES

Welcome to an all-new episode of Fence-Sense, where we tell you things that make sense about a fence. There’s not really a lot of things that make sense about a fence, apart from the obvious rhyming possibilities. The fence is a block in Minecraft, made from wood. VILLAGER TYPES

I grew up in a Village, and there was only 5 types of people. So Villages in Minecraft are pretty much like real life to me. NPC Villagers inhabit the various villages dotted around Minecraft’s landscape. There are different types of Villagers, 5 in all, and these are further split into different careers. These types and careers are important for trading. The different types are denoted by the colours of their clothes, and you can find out the career of a villager by opening up their trading interface. You can get Farmers, Librarians, Priests, Blacksmiths and Butchers. Within the Farming type, they can be either a Farmer, a Fletch, a Fisherman or a Shepherd. The Librarians only have a single type, as do the Priests. The black-aproned Blacksmiths will either be a Tool Smith, an Armorer, or a Weapon Smith. Lastly, in the Butcher type, you can either have Butchers or LeatherWorkers. As you might have guessed, these types denote what they offer up for trade. For instance, a cleric is the only villager sells rotten flesh. This incentivises you to trade with more villagers, and also to encourage them to breed. Click up here for a video about Villager Breeding and up here for one about Villager Trading.

BEGINNER’S GUIDE (HUB)

Hear ye, Hear ye, Hear ye! Henceforth and Forevermore this shalt be known unto all as a Block Exploration Video, and insomuch as applies, it shall be pertaining to a Beginner’s Guide to Minecraft. This video doesn’t describe an item, or a block, but it’s useful if you’re new to Minecraft and want to know how to start out. Most of the things mentioned in this video have links on the right, click them if you want to know more about it. Firstly, once you’ve made yourself a lovely new survival world, you’re going to want to look around you, moving the mouse, and take stock of your surroundings. If you see any trees around, head over there using the WASD controls of course, and punch down that tree. Once you have at least 16 logs, you’re going to need a Crafting Table. Once you have a crafting table, a pickaxe should be your next priority. Make a wooden pickaxe, and find some nearby Stone. Get yourself 17 pieces of stone (turning it into cobblestone) and make yourself a full set of stone tools and a furnace. By now you’ll notice that your hunger bar is dropping. You need to look around for some form of food. These videos will explain about the different mobs and food sources. By the time you’ve got some food, it will start turning dark most likely. A very simple way to spend your first night is to find a hill or cliff, and dig into it making a small 3x3 hole. Don’t block up the entrance just yet, first put your furnace down and make charcoal. Then make yourself some torches, block up the hole, and if you were fortunate enough to find wool, make a bed and sleep. Congratulations! That’s the first day out of the way! Click up here for another Beginner’s Guide video about your second day, and on any of the other links for a video about that thing.

COBBLESTONE

You know, aside from the Spidery Eyes, psychedelic Mooshrooms, and smacking a sheep for wool, Minecraft can make a lot of sense sometimes. Take cobblestone. By breaking up normal stone into bits, you can pick up the bits and make it into an uneven block of cobbles. So Cobblestone is a block in Minecraft that, because of the abundance of stone, is very often used as a building material, especially early on in the game. Not only that, it’s used in a great deal of recipes, including furnaces, levers, Brewing Stands, pistons, and dispensers. It’s also the material from which the second, often most used tier of tools is used. Lastly, it’s a Common Building Block, like Sandstone, Brick, Wood and Stone Brick. This means that these materials have stair blocks, normal blocks and half blocks. If you want to turn the Cobblestone back into regular stone, simply stick it into a furnace with some fuel and wait. Cobblestone itself can be generated in the map, it is made when flowing water tries to flow into a block

which already has flowing lava in. Check out this video to find out how to build a Cobblestone Generator, and this video to find out about Tools.
