Download The Gimp (GNU Program)
• http://www.gimp.org/downloads/
• And chose the most suitable version to download

Create a frame
• File > New
• Fill the size
Ex 105*56 px
• Select “transparency”
• Click “ok”

Adding layers
• Drag and drop your image into the frame (or file > open as layers)
-> Your image is too big !
• Unzoom with Ctrl + mouse scroll

Select Scale tool
• Select the tool into the toolbox
• If the tool box is not displayed,
- Ctrl + B
- Or Windows > Toolbox

Resize to the right scale
• Clic on the left high corner and hold Ctrl
• Otherwise the layer won’t be proportionate
• Reduce it until you have the right size
• Use the window

Repositioning the layer
• Click on the alignment tool
• Click on the layer to select it
• On the tool box click on this two icons

Result ?

Save as…. Export as
• When it’s done click on File > Export • Choose a proper name (your SEO will be
grateful ;-))
• Pick a right format • PNG is good because of transparent
background
• Click on export • On the next window let ticked what is
ticked • Reduce the compression level to 7 • Click on export

Tips
• If you want to resize an another image with this configuration, click right on the layer and delete him before.
