EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Since September 2011, Turkish LinkedIN Members grew up to 1,3 Million, with an increase of 67%
Considering the gender, males increased of 69% and women of 61%. Comparing the distribution rate with the Global LinkedIN Network, Turkey is above the average having 74% of male members against the 58%.
Drilling down by age, we register an important increment in members aged between 18 and 24 (+65%) and 55+ (+83%). The most important segment is the 25-34 years old people, which reppresents 41% of Turkish members, confirming Turkey as a young country.
Analyzing the distribution per industry, Members work almost in Manufactory (18%), Hightech (13%) and Education (10%). The comparision with the Global Distribution highlights that Turkey professionals come more from industrial fields than the service industries
41% of Turkish LinkedIN members work in a 10000+ employees company.
Enterpreneurhip (13%), Sales (10%) and Engineering (10%) are the most popular Job Functions. Marketers represents 4% of members, but it’s above the average comparing to LinkedIN Member Distribution
Comparing with the worldwide data, LinkedIN is used more by owners and executives (manager and senior). Directors (6%) and CXO (2%) are below the average.
7816 Turkish Companies have a company page. Information and communication services is the most active industry with 591 company pages.
