I know we are going to have another fabulous year with innovative teaching, great environments and awesome learning opportunities. Already our classes are positive places to be and we are loving having our students back on deck. We have a dynamic teaching and support staff and we are excited to have Neil Seaman as Deputy Principal, Emma Genockey in our Senior Maths and MS Science classes, Terry Heywood working across the school, Lachlan Elliot and Ange McCallum as SSO support and Joel Collings as our groundsman. How lucky are we to have them on board?? We are pleased to welcome many new students to our site, especially a new group of Receptions who are loving their first taste of big school’. In other classes we have Ayla in Year 1, Cooper in Year 2, Zara in year 3, Pheonix in Year 4, Payton and Ashton in Year 5, Riley in Year 6, India and Lily in Year 7, Riley in Year 8, Adrein in Year 9, Zac in Year 11 and Aiden in Year 12 – we are so glad you have chosen our school and know you will have amazing experiences with us. Apologies to the Year 10 class who are the only ones with no new students joining them! It is great to see all of our students in uniform and proudly looking great. Just a reminder that the green jumpers have now been phased out and the grey jumpers are the only ones now part of our uniform. Just a reminder that shorts also need to be a respectable length! We are also pleased to see students here at school on time and keen to start their day. However it is important to note that students should not be at school prior to 8:30 when there are teachers on duty. Our revamped classrooms are looking spectacular and many teachers worked hard over the holidays to make these environments appealing learning spaces, feel free to come in for a look around our great school and we look forward to collaborating with you all in 2020! We also have some news re our canteen or The Tuckshopas we are now calling it! Our Fundraising Committee have come on board with running this service and have introduced some new items, special days and have free fruit available at every break time. We are desperate however for some volunteers to spend 20 minutes having fun serving students at both recess and lunch. If you have some time please ring and add your name to the roster. 2020 Jan 28th-April 9th April 27th-July 3rd July 20th-Sept 25th Oct 12th-Dec 11th Trust, Respect, Achievement, Community TRAC 10/2/20 Yr 12 Parent Night 13/2/20 Open Boys Cricket Tumby Bay 17/2/20 Swim Trials 20/2/20 8/9 Boys Cricket Tumby Bay 21/2/20 Swimming Carnival @ Cummins Academy Photography Will be taking years Rec, 10, 11 & 12 Photos for our records and School ID Cards On Wednesday 12th of February 1.30pm Please dress in smart uniform

Noel’s Fly-Screen Service

This is a mobile service to Tumby Bay and surrounding areas I produce new flyscreens and security doors to a high standard and at a lower price than my competitors nearby. I am a 1 man business with lower overheads. I also repair your screens and doors on site including sliding door rollers and locks. If you have dogs, kids or cats, paw proof mesh on your doors can be fitted. It is the toughest mesh of all and is not affected by the sea air. In certain doors, I can remove your old mesh and grills and replace them with the latest smooth, easy to clean, perforated mesh for half the price of a new door. 20 years experience in this business.
