Tröst Bed

The Tröst Bed from Permobil is an electric, adjustable bed ideal for long-term care patients and their care providers. It offers a low height of 6.75” and a high height of 30” to meet all your caregiving and client needs. Tröst Bed has a 12-button hand pendant and optional footboard attendant controls, so customized comfort is an easy adjustment.

Hälsa Bed

The Hälsa Bed from Permobil is an electric, adjustable home care bed. Like the Tröst Bed, with the Hälsa Bed, the Trendelenburg and reverse Trende-lenburg features comes standard. Additionally, it offers the capability of moving both the head and foot sections simultaneously, an upgraded large caster option, and easy disassembly for transportation and storage.

The Optima Symmetry mattress provides a multi-zoned foam support with: 2 layers, 1 zone reversible design, firm internal foam side rails, anti-shear liner, and 70D Nylon fabric cover.

70D Nylon Cover - A durable, snug fitting low denier 70D Nylon is soft, moisture vapor permeable, and resistant to staining. It also includes a low slip vinyl bottom cover. Will not allow fluids to pass through and can be easily cleaned with standard cleaning products. Non-Allergenic - The entire foam core is constructed of 100% medical grade environmentally friendly non-allergenic foam. Perimeter Foam (on the SYMMETRY MATTRESS) - Constructed of 2.0 lb density and IFD 86-94. Introducing Permobil’s newest Signature mattresses - the Sömn and Koppla. These customizable foam mattresses are specifically engineered to provide lasting performance using better pressure reducing materials. We also offer the Optima and Optima Symmetry.

Sömn and Koppla premium mattresses provide a layered foam surface with sturdy 3” wide internal side rails. Sömn has a 4” base layer and 2” top layer with lower density foam at the heel, while Koppla has 2” thick base, plus middle and top layers with decreasing density. Both come with R5 Ultra full enclosure covers.

Shear Reduction Technology (SRT) is a patented and innovative solution designed to address shearing forces present during client movement in bed or when changing the position of the bed frame, at the same time ensuring proper pressure redistribution.

A third party clinical trial was completed by Durham College Department of Nursing and Department of Engineering to validate SRT. The trial provided non-biased support for the efficacy and use in populations where shear forces can damage vulnerable skin.

Low friction material separates two layers of foam - effectively moving the shearing to the core of the mattress and away from the client.

GelFlex™ foam provides enhanced support while reducing motion transfer across the mattress surface for an undisturbed sleep. Polymer gel beads are infused in the body of the visco foam. The open cell structure promotes airflow allowing for excellent cooling. GelFlex™ particles also:• promote a cool, comfortable sleep• ensure better heat conductivity than traditional visco elastic foam
