Reptilian brain,limbic or mammalbrain, neocortexor frondal lobe.

The oldest of the three,control the body's vital function such asheart rate, breathing, body temperatureand balance. Our reptilian includes the

main stucture found in reptiles brain. Thebrain stream and the cerebellum. The

reptilian brain is reliable but tends to besomewhat rigid and compulsive.

The Limbic or Mammal Brain

The Limbic or Mammal brainemerges in the first mammals. Itrecord memory of behavior that

produced agreeable anddisagreeable experiences, so it'sresponsible for what we calledemotions in human being. The

main structure of limbic brain isthe seat at the value judgments

that we exert such a stronginfluence in our behavior

The neocortex

First assumed importance in primote and culminates in thehuman brain with its two large cerebral hemispheres that play

such a dominant role. These hemispheres have beenresponsible for the development of human language, thoughts,

imangination and consiouness. The neocortex is flexible andhas almost endless learning abilities. The neocortex is also

what has enable human cultures to develop.
