BOLT has a new Operation Christmas Child donation center in the Education wing where you can bring donations throughout the year. We packed 118 boxes the past year, which was so exciting for the kids. We are looking to continue with the goal of 100 boxes next year, so if you have items to donate, please bring them in anytime of the year. Each month, I will share some ideas to consider donating, so this month, let’s think about STUFFED ANIMALS!

We were very saddened to cancel BOLT since the beginning of March; we do miss seeing the kids every week, but we hope everyone is doing well and staying healthy. At this point, we are starting to plan our VBS for this summer along with kicking BOLT off in the Fall. It was a great year and we thank the families for bringing their children to BOLT every week and sharing in God’s love.

Friendly reminder that we have a Closed Facebook group where I post what is happening with BOLT on a regular basis. You can request to join here: Trinity Lutheran BOLT

VBS HAS BEEN CANCELLED FOR THIS YEAR!

Luther Point Bible Camp had to cancel our Vacation Bible School for August.

Finally, I have been blessed with running the Education program at Trinity for the past six years transforming it from Sunday School to BOLT. I love the kids, I love teaching them about Gods love, and I love guiding them in their faith journeys. I am informing you that my time will be concluding in January 2021 as the Education leader. I am hoping that BOLT will continue strong at Trinity and I pray that I find someone willing to lead this ministry at Trinity. If you are interested in stepping up in this ministry, please let me know. I am more than willing to help guide and support you.

Mark your calendars for Wednesday September 9! This will be our BOLT Kick-off event!

Greeting BOLT Families -

Firstly, thank you for your generous giving in spite of the COVID-19 Safer at Home quarantine. In this month’s newsletter, we’ve included the Time and Talent form again for you to select an activity for 2020 that connects you with one of the small group ministries at Trinity. Someone asked if by selecting a category, you would be volunteering to lead that team. Only if you would be interested in doing that. There is still a vacancy on the Evangelism Team. Now that we are all staying home, it would be a good time to fill out the form and mail it to Trinity at PO BOX 68, Hammond WI 54015. This is an efficient way for you to be involved in one of Trinity’s ministries of your choice. Thanks for your cooperation. Hopefully we are getting closer to be able to be together again in person. God’s work, our hands. Trinity Stewardship Team

Special congregational meeting to be held on Sunday, June 14th after worship.

We will also be approving the last 6-months of our yearly budget.

Recommendations to be voted on in the special church meeting:

1. Recommendation has been made by the church council to change the terms of a council member position from three-year to two-year. Rational: A two-year term may be easier to make a commitment to then a three-year term.

2. Recommendation that a council member can serve two terms. After two terms or four years on the council the member would have to be off the council for one-year before running for another position.

QUILTING

The presentation of the quilts to the graduating seniors has been put on hold for the present time. We want to continue this tradition of presenting the quilts and blessing our seniors and their families. Watch for a letter when we know what

Sunday the presentation will take place.

Trinity Council Minutes Continued
