The tree said to the garden shed,


“It is such a lovely day!



It feels so good to be alive,

That I could run and jump and play.”

“Well, you cannot,”

said the shed to the tree.



“You are stuck to the spot like me.




We are not living, we have been made,

Not like that cat, or that bird, or that bee.”

“Speak for yourself,”

said the tree in reply.



“I grew from a little seed.




I use sunlight and air to make food in my leaves,

“All plants are alive,”

said the tree.

“My purpose is to be a part of everything,

said the tree.
