A pollutant is any substance that, when in an environment, poisons

our air, land and water.

Earth is polluted because millions of americans don’t recycle

Examples of pollution

• Oil spills that people don’t take the time to clean up

• Factories letting smoke flow into the air• Cars and trucks

What does pollution do to animals

• Breathing pollution can harm them• Drinking water with pollutants in it

How can we stop pollution to the earth

• Recycling• Not littering• Car pooling • Staying home if its not necessary to go out
