Trammell is the Emergency Preparedness Liaison Officer (EPLO) for FEMA Region V, 1st Air Force/National Security Emergency Preparedness, Tyndall AFB, Florida, with duty in Minnesota. As an EPLO, Colonel Trammell serves as the principal Air Force liaison to The Adjutant General on AF DSCA/Civil Support/HLS plans/policies/procedures with the Regional DCO/E, facilitates 1 AF NSEP support required during Presidentially-declared natural/man-made disasters or emergencies, serves as AF representative to the State Area Command EOC & engages in state/federal HLS planning/training exercises, and annually visits active and reserve AF installations preparing wing CCs for their DoD HLS/DSCA roles and responsibilities Colonel Trammell was born in Rochester, Minnesota. Colonel Trammell was born in Rochester, Minnesota. After his commissioning in the active duty Air Force through ROTC at the University of Iowa in 1985, he graduated from Undergraduate Navigator Training, Mather Air Force Base, California, in 1986. In 1994, Colonel Trammell transferred to the Air Force Reserve Command and served in a number of wings, including the 934 th Airlift Wing, Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport Air Reserve Station, Minnesota, the 928 th Airlift Wing, Chicago-O’Hare International Airport Air Reserve Station, Illinois, the 920th Rescue Wing, Patrick Air Force Base, Florida, and finally returning to the 934 AW in 1999. During this time he served in a variety of positions including Combat Rescue Navigator, Lead, Instructor and Evaluator Navigator, Tactics Instructor Navigator, Operations Support Flight Commander and Airlift Squadron Commander. In 2009 Colonel Trammell served as deployed Squadron Commander, 746th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron, 379th Air Expeditionary Wing, Southwest Asia. He is a master navigator with 4800 hours of flying time, and has participated in Operations DEEP FREEZE, JUST CAUSE, DESERT STORM, ENDURING FREEDOM, IRAQI FREEDOM and UNIFIED RESPONSE. As a civilian, he is a corporate pilot.
