DAY 1: TRANSFER CALAMA AIRPORT - HOTELAfter recovering from the trip, in the afternoon we will initiate an excursion to the Valley of the Moon. VALLE DE LA LUNA AND VALLE DE LA MUERTE EXCURSIÓNWe will pick you up at your hotel after lunch to head towards the dazzling Salt Mountains, a set of hills of sharp rocks and strange shapes. In route, we will make a detour to the Valley of the Dinosaurs and the Death Valley, where we will stop to observe incredible views of the Atacama Desert. The Death Valley is named due to its great aridity and high salinity, which makes impossible any form of life. We continue towards the Valley of the Moon, a geological show of amazing beauty, unique in the world because of its mystic energy and its signature moon-like landscape, full of dry salt lakes that form a whitish crust, which depending on the time of day that you visit, will change its colors. At sunset, the mountains provide another show when becoming tinged with different shades of orange, red and gold. We will visit Las Tres Marias, a salt sculpture; a few ancient salt deposits; caverns and the so-called Grand Dune, which impresses by its size. Return to your hotel is planned for shortly after 7:00 pm.

DAY 2: LAGUNAS ALTIPLÁNICAS (MISCANTI Y MIÑIQUES) WITH BREAKFAST, PIEDRAS ROJAS Y SALAR DE ATACAMA WITH LUNCHEarly, close to 8:00 in the morning, we leave your hotel for this excursion. We start in the Andes Mountains, at almost 4,000 meters above sea-level, visiting the geological stone formation of Piedras Rojas (Red Stones), at the Salt Flat of Aguas Calientes (Hot Waters). Its striking red color is due to the oxidation of the iron present in the area. Then, we will visit the lagoons Miscanti and Miñiques at more than 4,200 meters above sea-level, which are part of the Flamingos National Reserve and are located at the foot of two volcanoes with which they share names: (5.622 m) Miscanti and Miñiques (5,910 m). Around the lagoons are the nests of a large quantity of birds. After the visit, we descend to the beautiful village of Socaire, where we will have lunch.The tour continues to the Atacama Salt Flat, where we will have the opportunity of getting to know the Chaxa lagoon, a scenery of great beauty, inhabited by numerous and colorful flamingos and other birds such as big and small parinas. Finally, we’ll visit Toconao, small town known best for its Bell Tower (National Monument) and the Church of Saint Lucas. Around 5:00 pm is the ending time for this tour, returning to San Pedro de Atacama.

DAY 3: SALAR DE TARA WITH LUNCH At about 9:00 am we will leave the hotel to start our journey towards the mountain range, travelling along the road that leads to the border with Argentina. We will observe the wetlands of the river Quepiaco, a meadow of fertile plains which are habitat to various birds such as flamingos, coots and ducks. Then we continue towards the Monks of Pacana, gigantic stones eroded by the wind of the desert which resemble the silhouettes of some monks. We continue to climb up to the Tara Salt Flat, 4,300 meters above sea-level and near the triple border between Chile, Argentina and Bolivia. Here we will take a short walk along the lagoon of the salt flat. Around 5:30 pm we will be back at the hotel.

DAY 4: TATIO GEYSERS WITH BREAKFAST This tour requires a very early exit from the hotel, approximately at 5:00 in the morning heading for the Highlands, since the show delivered by the highest geometric field of the world shows its best face at dawn. We arrive shortly before 7:00, when the steam fumaroles emerge with most force, causing everyone’s amazement. After enjoying this true show of nature, we will have breakfast. On our way back, we will pass through Machuca, small Atacama town, inhabited by herders of llamas. Here visitors can learn about their church and buy local handicrafts. We will be back at your hotel in San Pedro near 1:30 pm. Transfer from your hotel to Calama Airport.

DAY 3: VALLE DE ARCOÍRIS AND ASTRONOMICAL TOUR We leave the hotel approximately at 8:00 in the morning heading West to find the Domeyko mountain range, which runs parallel to the Andes. The first visit will be in the sector of Yerbas Buenas, known for its historical relevance due to the prehistoric rock art it houses, here we observe one of the most important groups of petroglyphs in the region. Then we continue towards the Valle de Arcoriris, a unique place in the world and named as such due to the variety of colors that are observed in the hills that surround it. Earth tones, reds, browns, greens, and yellows are combined with the white of the salt flats and the intense blue of the sky. A tranquil walk allows us to be more in touch with this landscape. Finally, we will visit the town of Rio Grande (Big River), bathed by the river of the same name, and beautifully preserved colonial architecture. At approximately 13:30 hours we will be back in your hotel.

Astronomical tour. In the evening, at about 9:00 pm, we shall leave from your hotel towards the Atacama Desert. We will begin our astronomical tour by watching the starry skies of northern Chile. With the help of a laser pointer, we will look at the major stars, learn about constellations and more. Then we will go to the telescopes as to observe the stunning night sky, where we will distinguish nebulae and more stars. The astronomical tour ends with a hot chocolate. At midnight, we return to your hotel.

DAY 4: MORNING IN PURITAMA HOT SPRINGS AND AFTERNOON IN CEJAR LAGOON, OJOS DEL SALAR, TEBINQUINCHE LAGOON WITH LUNCHPuritama Hot springs. We leave the hotel and will travel 30 kilometers to arrive at this beautiful place, located at the bottom of a ravine. The hot springs flow at 33.5° C and sprout among the rocks, forming several pools where it is possible to go for a relaxing swim. The place has all the necessary infrastructure for the visitor and to enjoy a moment of relaxation amid nature.

Excursion to Cejar Lagoon, Ojos del Salar and Tebinquinche Lagoon. Around 3:30 pm we will leave your hotel to go to Lake Ojos del Salar which are two fresh water wells in the middle of the driest desert in the world. Then we shall head to the Cejar Lagoon, inside the vastness of the Atacama Salt Flat, of extremely salty waters and of turquoise color. Finally, in the Tebinquinche Lagoon, we will enjoy a delicious appetizer at sunset, watching the reflection of the mountains in its waters and the Atacama Salt Flat. At about 9:30 pm we will be back at your hotel.

DAY 1: TRANSFER PUNTA ARENAS AIRPORT - HOTEL IN PUERTO NATALES

DAY 2: FULL DAY EXCURSION IN TORRES DEL PAINE WITH LUNCH At 8:30 is our departure from your hotel bound to the Torres del Paine National Park, considered the Eighth Wonder of the World. Prior to the Park, we will pass the Mylodon Cave, Natural Monument of great paleontological attraction that housed the remains of extinct mylodons, huge herbivores that disappeared in the Pleistocene. After passing through the villa Cerro Castillo, where you can enjoy a coffee, a snack or buy souvenirs, we continue towards the National Park. First stop at the lookout point Lake Sarmiento, continuing to Torres del Paine, the Cuernos del Paine and Cerro Almirante Nieto. We will see lakes of turquoise Waters such as the Pehoe, one of the best places to observe the Cuernos del Paine reflected in the Waters, and the Nordenskjold, noted for the intense green color of its waters due to high mineral concentrations. A 15-minute walk will take us to the Salto Grande, a stunning waterfall 10 meters high. Then, we will enjoy the boxed lunch to recharge energy, then later, another walk on the banks of the Grey Lake, where we will see the icebergs and the Grey glacier. Based the tourists interest, the return may be done by the same route or by a new path. Around 7:30 pm we will be back at your hotel.

DAY 3: NAVIGATION TO GLACIER BALMACEDA AND SERRANO WITH LUNCH The departure from the hotel is at 8:00 in the morning, heading directly to the pier of Puerto Natales. On the way we will observe the buildings of the former Bories cold storage plant, which was one of the largest Patagonian meat processors. Already onboard, we begin a unique experience navigating the fjord of Ultima Esperanza, where it is possible to see a variety of bird life and beautiful landscapes among forests, mountains and waterfalls. We will first see the Balmaceda Glacier from the motor vessel, then, to appreciate the glacier Serrano, we shall disembark in Puerto Toro and will take a 20-minute walk along a path that crosses a forest of ñirres and coihues. Magellan lunch. At around 6:30 pm we are back at the hotel

After a navigation of two hours, we will arrive at Magdalena Is-land, Nature Reserve inhabited by thousands of Magellan penguins. Here, calmly and without scaring them we shall take a walk amongst them, seeing how they appear as we pass by. After this visit, we return to Punta Arenas to explore its essential sites

CITY TOUR PUNTA ARENASWe will head to the Cerro de la Cruz, where we will have a panoramic view of the city, with its colorful roofs, the Strait of Magellan and, as a backdrop, Tierra del Fuego. From this viewpoint, our local guide will give you a full story about the city and its history. We will continue to the “Plaza de Armas” (Main Square), which shelters the monument to the Portuguese Hernando de Magallanes - discoverer of the Strait - and the Patagonian indigenous whose feet must be kissed if one wishes to return some-day. We will visit the Nao Victoria Museum with replicas of important vessels from the history of the region and, finally, we will go to the northern sector of Punta Arenas where there is a great amount of attractions, such as the monument to the Ovejero (Shepard), the Croatian plaza and the Antoine Saint-Exupéry plaza. At about 17:00 hours, we will return to your hotel.

DAY 5: TRANSFER HOTEL IN PUNTA ARENAS – PUNTA ARENAS AIRPORT

DAY 1: TRANSFER PUNTA ARENAS AIRPORT - HOTEL IN PUERTO NATALES

DAY 2: FULL DAY EXCURSION IN TORRES DEL PAINE WITH LUNCH At 8:30 is our departure from your hotel bound to the Torres del Paine National Park, considered the Eighth Wonder of the World. Prior to the Park, we will pass the Mylodon Cave, Natural Monument of great paleontological attraction that housed the remains of extinct mylodons, huge herbivores that disappeared in the Pleistocene. After passing through the villa Cerro Castillo, where you can enjoy a coffee, a snack or buy souvenirs, we continue towards the National Park. First stop at the lookout point Lake Sarmiento, continuing to Torres del Paine, the Cuernos del Paine and Cerro Almirante Nieto. We will see lakes of turquoise Waters such as the Pehoe, one of the best places to observe the Cuernos del Paine reflected in the Waters, and the Nordenskjold, noted for the intense green color of its waters due to high mineral concentrations. A 15-minute walk will take us to the Salto Grande, a stunning waterfall 10 meters high. Then, we will enjoy the boxed lunch to recharge energy, then later, another walk on the banks of the Grey Lake, where we will see the icebergs and the Grey glacier. Based the tourists interest, the return may be done by the same route or by a new path. Around 7:30 pm we will be back at your hotel.

DAY 3: FULL DAY PERITO MORENO (ARGENTINA) Early, at about 6:30 in the morning, we leave your hotel heading to the border with Argentina. After crossing, the landscape that prevails here is the Patagonian steppe. We pass through the slope Migue, from where you can see Lake Argentino and Mount Fitz Roy and we arrive at the town of El Calafate, with varied tourism, restaurants and souvenir shops. Then we will enter the Los Glaciares National Park, to have direct contact with the glacier Perito Moreno, one of the most impressive in the world. We climb the stairs that connect different viewpoints to observe it more closely. Here we will have a couple of hours to appreciate the glacier, explore the place and enjoy the landscape. Return to Puerto Natales is made by the same route. We will be back in your hotel approximately at 10:00 pm.

DAY 4: NAVEGACIÓN A GLACIAR BALMACEDA Y SERRANO CON ALMUERZOLa salida desde el hotel es a las 8:00 de la mañana, para ir directamente al muelle de Puerto Natales. DAY 5: NAVIGATION TO MAGDALENA ISLAND - HALF DAY EXCURSION CITY TOUR PUNTA ARENASVery early in the morning, at about 6:20, we will leave from your hotel in Punta Arenas towards the cold waters of the Strait of Magellan. After a navigation of two hours, we will arrive at Magdalena Is-land, Nature Reserve inhabited by thousands of Magellan penguins. Here, calmly and without scaring them we shall take a walk amongst them, seeing how they appear as we pass by. After this visit, we return to Punta Arenas to explore its essential sites.We will head to the Cerro de la Cruz, where we will have a panoramic view of the city, with its colorful roofs, the Strait of Magellan and, as a backdrop, Tierra del Fuego. From this viewpoint, our local guide will give you a full story about the city and its history. We will continue to the “Plaza de Armas” (Main Square), which shelters the monument to the Portuguese Hernando de Magallanes - discoverer of the Strait - and the Patagonian indigenous whose feet must be kissed if one wishes to return some-day. Frutillar and Puerto Octay Excursion At 3:00 pm we will continue towards Frutillar, but before, we will pass by the town of Llanquihue which forms part of the Route of the Settlers, that was an important agroindustry center. Frutillar emerged in 1856, when a loading dock was installed around which soon emerged varied trade, tanneries, mills, a brewery and an alcohol distillery was installed. We will get to know some of their ancient homes of German-style and colorful gardens. If you wish, you may visit the German Colonial Museum, which exhibits the life of the first settlers in the area. Also, we will see the modern and imposing “Teatro del Lago” (Lake Theater), where every summer is held the “Semanas Musicales de Frutillar” (Musical Weeks of Frutillar), to which converge musicians and public from all over the globe.The tour continues in Puerto Octay, a small town, but of great beauty located in a bay protected by the Centinela Peninsula, which we will visit and its scenic overlook. We will be back in your hotel around 6:00 pm.

DAY 1: TRANSFER EASTER ISLAND AIRPORT - HOTEL – AHU AKIVI EXCURSION IN THE AFTERNOON At about 15:00 hours we will depart from your hotel and head to Ahu Akivi, a platform of seven moais - the only one on the island in which the statues are facing the sea - and, based on its astronomical location, the most important of the erected on the interior of the island and not on the coastal edge of Rapa Nui, like most. Then we will continue towards the Ahu Huri Urenga, platform where there is a curious moai with two pairs of hands. Finally, we will visit the quarry of the volcano, Puna Pau, from here were extracted and carved the pukao, which are the hats, or large red cylinders that crown the moais. We return to the hotel close to 6:30 pm.

DAY 2: MOAIS AND ANAKENA BEACH EXCURSION WITH BOX LUNCHAt 9:00 in the morning we leave the hotel, heading first to the Ahu Akahanga, considered one of the most important of the island due to its history and number of statues. It is a grand platform of 18 meters that has not been restored and has 13 moais of between 5 and 7 meters, all knocked flat on the ground, with their crowns or pukaos scattered around them. We will continue to Rano Raraku volcano, one of the most visited places in Easter Island because it is here where the moais were carved, after which they were transferred to different points of Rapa Nui. On Rano Raraku, which is known as “La Cantera” (The Quarry), we will see some of the nearly 400 moais that remain in different stages of elaboration. After having lunch, during the afternoon we will head towards Anakena Beach, the main one of the island, which with its white coral sands, palm trees, invite you to bathe in its turquoise waters. Approximately at 5:00 pm we will be back at the hotel.

Then we will visit the cave of Ana Kai Tangata, which is located next to the Pacific Ocean and where we will see some cave paintings. The tour continues in the Rano Kau volcano, the largest of the island and surrounded by one of the most beautiful sceneries of Rapa Nui, and inside it stores fresh water. Finally, we will visit the ceremonial village of Orongo, located in the southeastern part of the Rano Kau volcano. It is composed of several elliptical shaped houses with walls of stone slab and a small square entrance. Here was carried out the most important ceremony of Easter Island’s second period, the election of the Tangata Manu (bird-man) and those who participated, slept in these rooms. Around 1:00 pm we will be back at the hotel. Transfer to Easter Island Airport.

City Tour ExcursionIn the afternoon, we will start our City Tour visiting the ceremonial sites of Tahai and Ahu with their statues, in this place there is the only Moai with eyes. Also, we can see the remainings of a boat-house, a stone-made henhouse and a ship made out of stone in its entirety. Later, we will head to a museum that will introduce us to the geology, geography, history and the past of Easter island and its people. We will finish our excursion in the town of Hanga Roa, where we will visit its church and handicraft market.
