Join us on our choral odyssey to the land of Homer and Euripides . Explore the land of Zeus, Apollo, and the other Olympian gods . View the structural perfection that defines the Parthenon . Imagine the ancient Colossus presiding over the harbor at Rhodes .

Greece is the culture that formed our understandings of democracy and our notions of civilization . Enjoy the beauty and cuisine of the Mediterranean while we explore the city of Plato and Aristotle . As we visit Delphi, recall the troubled warriors who journeyed there to consult the oracles . Wander with us as we evoke the words of the great Socrates, who said, “Wisdom begins in wonder .”

Artists remember that Greece is the home of the Muses: writers continually search for their muses, travelers visit museums, and those with free time amuse themselves . We will make music in the land of Orpheus!

Join us in June 2015!

Discover innumerable monuments including the Forum, the Odeon, the Library of Celsus and the Thermal Baths of Scolastika. We enter the Great Theatre built in the Greek Era and reconstructed in the Roman period. This extraordinary structure is still noted for its remarkable acoustics and is the site of our brief recital (tbd). We head back to the coach along the Arcadian Way where Mark Anthony and Cleopatra once rode in procession. Thursday, June 18• Wake up to a morning in Crete, the largest and

the most rugged of the Greek islands. It is also the home of the great Minoan Civilization and the mythological home of Zeus. After a short drive through the town of Heraklion the tour will arrive at the Knossos excavations. Here, Sir Arthur Evan’s archaeological discoveries revealed a civilization dating back to 4000 B.C., when a great empire flourished on the island of Crete. Based on the wealth of artifacts that were found, Evans theorized that this was the site of the ancient Minoan Kingdom. These findings will be viewed as our guide leads us on a journey of discovery to learn about the sophisticated culture that flourished thousands of years ago on this island. We will see the Palace, decorated with frescoes and shields, the Hall of the Royal Guard, the Hall of the Double Axes, the King’s Chamber with the alabaster throne, the Queen’s Apartment, beautiful courtyards and shrines. Having visited this remarkable site the bus will take us back to the Venetian lion-guarded port of Heraklion to rejoin the ship

• Lunch • Continue to Santorini - one of the most magical

islands of Greece. It is a barren, rocky island just opposite a volcano with black and red beaches. Towns are situated on high cliffs offering breathtaking views and fantastic sunsets. Visit Oia Village, an excellent example of Cycladic architecture. Explore the village walking along the cobblestone streets past the white washed houses with blue shutters and enjoy the sensation of being on a stunning travel poster

• Re-board the ship for our last night on the water • Dinner • Overnight on cruise ship
