BOOKING & CANCELLATION DEADLINESShore excursions must be purchased on or before the booking deadline for each port of call. Tours are available on a first-come, first-served basis; some tours are very popular with guests often ending up being wait-listed: in order to avoid disappointment, it is thereforesuggested to book in advance via my.silversea.com from 120 days until 48 hours prior to sailing. Last-minute requests to participate onexcursions are subject to space availability, which in some cases may not be determined until departure time pier-side. Please note thatcertain shore excursions may have different reservation deadlines and may incur cancellation fees if cancelled after the deadline. Unlessotherwise indicated in the tour description for a particular shore excursion a 100% cancellation fee will be charged for shore excursionscancelled within 48 hours of the scheduled start time. If you have pre-reserved your excursions on line, your tickets will bedelivered to your suite upon embarkation and all charges will be billed to your shipboard account. ON BOARD RESERVATIONSOnce on board, you may also reserve and purchase your shore excursions. You will find a consolidated tour booking form in your suite andat the Shore Concierge desk. Select the tours in which you wish to participate, then leave the completed and signed form at the ShoreConcierge desk prior to the booking deadline indicated. Tour tickets will be delivered to your suite and your selected excursions chargedto your shipboard account. Overland and exclusive excursions must be pre-paid by credit card through your reservation agents. If stillavailable they may also be purchased on board. This excursion is a truly Grecian adventure, with the opportunity to sail on a traditional kaiki boat to an active volcano, Nea Kameni, on theAegean Sea, and take swim in a volcanic hot spring at Palea Kameni.Traditional Kaiki Boat, Sailing the Caldera, Nea Kameni Volcano Hike, Panoramic ViewsTravel aboard a traditional Greek sailboat called a kaiki (or caïque), a charming wooden boat and traditional fishing vessel that has a long,pointed bow and is often painted in bright colors. Sail first to Nea Kameni, a small volcanic island within the Santorini caldera. Hike to the edgeof the active volcano crater past unique, almost alien lava formations. Walk down the hill (15 minutes) to the beautiful medieval village of St. Paul de Vence, draped in flowers over ancient stone walls and set perchedatop rolling hills and offering a splendid panoramic view of the Mediterranean. Built mostly in the 17th century, this gracious and ancient place isbuilt around elements as old as the 13th century, such as the Romanesque church along Place du Chateau square. Take a guided walking tour ofthis typical fortress town, walking the lovely Rue Grande to see the Grande Fountain, which served as the town's source of drinking water as farback as the 16th century. NiceDepart the pier for the scenic drive along the Promenade des Anglais, a splendid, palm-lined boulevard stretching for three miles along the Baiedes Anges. Pass by landmarks that include the legendary 'Negresco', an imposing hotel with a rococo façade, and the Russian OrthodoxCathedral. It was built with pink bricks, light grey marble and bright ceramics crowned by six onion-shaped domes that give the city an exotictouch. Next, a visit is made to the Old City.
