The Legends of the Tour

• Tour organisers ASO have invited all previous racefinishers to Paris for the finale on Champs-Élysées.

• NZ’s own Eric Mackenzie raced and finished the LaGrande Boucle in the ‘80’s

• This year the final stage is to be held under lights atnight in the “city of light”. The party atmosphere will be

electrifying.• Don’t miss this opportunity



Tour Dates

• Tour Dates: Saturday 13th July to Saturday 27th July

• The Plan:

–

Pick up campervans in Milan – Stay in French Alps for five days to ride & watch at least two

mountain stages.

– Stay in Paris for three days. Ride through the city and watch

the final stage. – Two rides to the north of Paris after tour ends. Maybe Paris-

Roubaix?

–

Return to Milan & home.

Can I do the riding?

• Can you ride 50-75km on the flat?• Are you are a weekend warrior?

• Do you like social rides?

• If you answer YES to any of the above – you can do this. – Most of the riding is on flat courses.

– We don’t race.

– We’ll ride as a group most of the time and stop often for photo’s or to see the sights.

– On the mountains you’ll ride at your own pace and regroup regularly.

– We have plenty of rest days built into the itinerary to watch stages of the race, etc

– That said if you are a good cyclist – there are plenty of Col’s to test yourself on.

Logistics- continued

• Daily ride itinerary is flexible and completely optional. Ride asmany or as few days as you like. Ride the entire distance, or as far as you are comfortable with.

• Alternatives are discussed each night and agreed upon. We just ask that everyone makes their plans known to the group sowe know we haven’t lost anyone.

• We constantly change plans due to weather, because we seebetter options, or simply because as a group - we feel like it!
