Start with a ride up to Victoria Peak for a panoramic view of Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and the surrounding islands. Then pass by picturesque Repulse Bay as you proceed to the famous fishing village of Aberdeen to see the floating community still very much a part of Hong Kongs society. Visit Stanley Market where you can pick up great bargains or just browse. Lunch at the famous Jumbo Floating Restaurant then return to your hotel in the early afternoon for the rest of the day at your leisure. Return to Hanoi for lunch then visit the imposing marble edifice housing the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and his wooden stilt house plus the One Pillar Pagoda. You then take a one-hour cyclo tour of Hanois Old Quarter allows you to catch a glimpse of ancient Hanoi and learn about traditional Vietnamese architecture. The tour includes a stop at an ancient Vietnamese long house. Enjoy dinner and the Water Puppet Show this evening. Feb. 22, 2018: HANOI / HALONG BAY [B/L/D] Visit a wholesale fruit and flower market this morning then transfer to Halong Bay where to board a luxury Junk(boat) for a one night cruise. You are welcomed on board to enjoy lunch while cruising past islets and fishing villages. Anchor at the Dark and Bright Caves and explore these caves by bamboo boats, then continue cruising in Lan Ha Bay and anchoring in Ho Dong Tien to enjoy swimming or kayaking. Back on board enjoy a two for one Happy Hourwhile cruising in Halong Bay. Dock at Coconut Three Island for overnight. After breakfast disembark then return back to Hanoi and to the airport for your flight to Saigon. Upon arrival in Saigon transfer to your hotel for a 2-night stay. During the war for independence, Viet Cong guerillas built the labyrinth of narrow tunnels virtually underneath U.S. bases, using them to hide during bombing raids and to stage surprise attacks. Visit a farm in the area before returning to Saigon in the afternoon for a half-day city tour that includes the Notre Dame Cathedral and Post Office. Feb. 25, 2018: SAIGON ~ MEKONG RIVER [B/L/D] After breakfast, drive to the Mekong Delta to embark on the Bassac Riverboat for a cruise around the Mekong River. Have lunch on-board and continue on the water, stopping for brief walking tours of the villages lining the r iver banks with the cr uise-guide. Lunch will be in this country setting before returning to the city for a tour as well as a Sunset Dinner Cruise. March 01, 2018: PHNOM PENH ~ SIEM REAP [B/L/D] Transfer to the airport this morning for your flight to Siem Reap. On arrival, meet and transfer to the hotel for check-in. March 02, 2018: SIEM REAP [B/L/D] You will leave the hotel before sunrise and head to Angkor Wat where you can admire the majestic sunrise over the ancient temple. A fitting first glimpse of such a remarkable monument. Return to the hotel to enjoy a leisurely breakfast before beginning your tour of the Angkor archaeological park. The fortified city of Angkor Thom covers an area of 10 square km, enclosed by a wall and wide moats; the city includes many of Angkor's most popular sights. March 04, 2018: CHIANG RAI, THAILAND [B/L] Meet at the hotel after breakfast and depart for Mae Sai and cross the Sai River into Myanmar and witness local Burmese life in nearby villages. Rickshaws await here to take visitors to explore a Shan style temple, home for young novice monks. Afterwards, r ide around town through lands and side streets of Tachilek, ending at a local market for shopping. Next stop is the Golden Triangle, the centre for the opium trade. From here, view the splendor of the might Mekong joining the Ruak and forming the triangle with Laos, Burma and Thailand, and then take a boat ride on the Mekong River then return back to your hotel in Chiang Rai. March 05, 2018: CHIANG RAI ~ CHIANG MAI [B/L] After breakfast at the hotel, meet and drive to a Karen hill tribe village. The inhabitants originated from Burma (Myanmar) and form the largest hill tribe population in Thailand. The Karen are the infamous long neck women who wear heavy brass necklaces around their necks from a very young age. Their weaving skills are renowned and produce beautifully colourful garments. There is a chance to shop for local handicraft before checking into your hotel. The evening is at your leisure and your chance to explore and eat on your own should your choose. March 06, 2018: CHIANG MAI [B/L/D] This morning, drive to Mae Sa Valley and visit an elephant camp, where you’ll be shown how these imposing animals work so well in the jungle (elephant and ox cart rides are included as an early booking bonus). Continue your adventure with bamboo rafting along the river. Lunch and touring will be provides at the beautiful orchid and butterfly farm.
