TOP-CO TYPE 361 - ROTOBO

With the energy industry’s challenging and demanding performance

requirements, Top-Co’s T361 Rotobo Integral Bow Spring Cen-

tralizer Sub has been designed to withstand the most extreme

deep-water down hole conditions.

Manufactured from seamless casing grade material, the integral

centralizer sub is designed for ultimate performance in under-

reamed holes. Additionally, Top-Co’s customization capabilities

allow the sub design to match the exact needs of most well and

casing programs.

PRIMARY APPLICATION Top-Co’s Type 361 Rotobo Integral Bow Spring Centralizer Sub

is designed for use in deep-water wells where under-reamed sec-

tions are encountered. The sub design allows the centralizer to

pass through small annular clearances and open up in the under-

reamed section to provide the centralization needed to get a superi-

or cementing job.

The Rotobo model is well suited for applications requiring casing

rotation.

FEATURES Welded bow spring centralizer installed over integral

shoulders which are machined onto the sub.

The centralizer is free to rotate on the sub.

The threads on the sub match that of the casing string.

The metallurgy and mechanical properties will meet or exceed the specifications of the casing string.

Designs are customizable within the API 5CT specifi-cations to meet well specific clearance limitations.

Mechanical properties are enhanced by using pin bore ID throughout the sub rather than casing ID.

ADVANTAGES Ability to rotate the casing string.

The bow springs are built in such a manner that they are pulled into or out of the hole as they are designed to be run.

BENEFITS Unlike standard centralizers, the drilling engineer will

not have to worry about slippage or breakage when going through tight clearances

Improved mud removal and cement placement through casing rotation

ENGINEERING SUPPORT Centralization placement simulations.

Torque and drag analysis.

Pre and post installation analysis.

COMPLETE PRODUCT LINE The D2 model consists of a bow spring centralizer mounted over solid vanes machined on the casing sub. The centralizer notched collar positively indexes the compression of the bows between the vanes, which cre-ates additional protection to the centralizer when running and reciprocating casing. The solid vanes also guaran-tee a minimum stand-off when higher than expected side forces are encountered. The SuperCombo model has machined straight or spiral solid vanes above and/or be-low a Rotobo centralizer to combine the ability to rotate casing with addi-tional protection and a guaranteed stand-off.
