!In July and August, 38 CCs, 10 ACs, 40 CLs/ALs and 6 DTMs were born

We have an encouraging start, 94 education achievements were awarded in just two months. Especially 6 DTMs were newly born and joined the highest Toastmasters destination family. This year, district is awarding each education goal achiever with a congratulation email from LGET team, district officer will visit their club to present a competent communicator (CC pin) or where leaders are made pin (CL pin), or membership badge (AC/AL) to them. They will also be invited to write a sharing of what they have learnt from their toastmasters journey and be posted in district website, newsletter session. In July and August, we have received over 40 sharings from members. It is surely the most touching and valuable channel to understand the benefits of the TI program. 10 Club Officer Trainings have been organized, over 500 club officers have been trained

In division P, around 70 club officers from 14 chartered clubs in Chongqing and Chengdu and 2 potential clubs attended it, which is the biggest training in Division P history. District 89 Governor, Sarah He specially came from Shenzhen to conduct one session training.

It’s true. If we seek help from knowledgeable and experienced people, we can avoid making unnecessary mistakes that waste valuable time and ultimately achieve our goals faster. This is the concept behind the Toastmasters mentoring program. ! Take a moment to think about your first Toastmasters meeting. How did you feel? Once you joined, did you have a mentor who showed you the way and helped you get the most from the Toastmasters program? Al l new members could use someone to teach them club protocol and customs and

show them how to prepare and participate in various meeting roles as well as help them prepare and rehearse their first few speeches. Mentors provide this valuable service.

With all of members’ effort, district 89 had a fantastic year of 2013-2014.We were the 1st district achieving President’s distinguished district in the world. We ranked No. 7 in the world, no. 8 in term of DCP, no. 3 in term of payment and no. 4 in term of club growth. ! We could not achieve this without your dedication; especially we are a new district and has a long way to go. Thanks for all of your hard work. Now is time for award and recognition!!! ! District will choose the Toastmaster of the Year, Area Governor of the Year and Division Governor of the Year. Awards will be presented in Zhuhai Fall Conference. !
