To The Medical StudentPoem By
Balachandran Chullikkad
♫ Turn on the sound
* “The life that has to run like a yell in between suicide and murder”
" And once you burnt my bitter soul with the scorching kisses yours
And was fascinated by the future forms of birth seen through the starry window of the eye”
Are the few powerful words nearly moved college students to rebellion in the late '70s. With his highly emotive words and fiery style in Malayalam,
Balachandran Chullikkad was pure angst!

Take time to read the poem Take time to think…
When death engulf me,
What remains will be given to you
You will explore my Brain
But will fail to find the source of unforeseen states
You will bore into my eyes
But will not see
the world in them
in the form I had seen
You will cut open my throat
But the songs I sang will not be there
You will pierce my heart
But the lightning will have changed their residence by then
You will break down my loins
But the ecstatic celebrations
they had known will not be repeated
You will peel of and dissect my feet
But you can never count my foot prints that were infinite
The poem was translated in English by K.M. Surendran
