Facilitate attainment of Nurse Aide I Knowledge and Proficiency of Curriculum Skills (BEST PRACTICE) for the purpose of resident care. Resident unit and the hospital bed should be the focus of teaching and learning. NOT student desks. Weave cognitive content with skill acquisition. 40 hours in Clinical – Students apply NA I skills. Options: 40 hours LTC or 30 hrs. LTC & 10 Assisted Living or 30 hrs. LTC & 10 hrs. geriatric interaction or 30 hours LTC & 10 hrs of NNAAP test prep back in the class training lab after clinical is completed. Back in Classroom for NNAAP Test Prep. 10 hours of NNAAP skills test prep can be counted along with 30 hours LTC for a total of 40. Purpose of this time is TEST PREP. Not patient care and not best practice. In Facility Testing. Highly recommended . Instruction s on the Moodle. Plan very early in the year for this event. Not difficult. Just requires very good communicati on with NACES and the NAE assigned. This can be End of Course will be taken in Thinkga te. This will be online in most cases.
