Time Table for the Terminal and Back Paper Examination-2020 Department of French and Francophone Studies

Guidelines for the End Semester examination for the final year students (2019-2020)

● The examination for the final year students will be conducted in online mode. It means:

1. Students will be provided with the question paper on a digital platform.

2. But they will write the exam using pen and paper, like it is done in a traditional

setting.

● The Department of French and Francophone studies has chosen the following platforms

for conducting the online exams:

Written exam - Google

classroom Oral exam - Skype

● Students must use ruled A4 sheets as their answer sheets. Only black or blue ink should

be used to write the answers.

● Before writing the answers, students should mention their name, student ID, name of the

programme, Course title, Course code as well as the day and the date of the examination

in their answer booklet.

● Students are advised to maintain a neat legible handwriting. Avoid writing on the margins

of the paper. The answers should be well spaced. Use of correction pens/ whitener is

allowed.

● Each paper will be conducted for a total of 80 marks and the duration of the exam will be

2 hours. Students will be provided with an additional 20 minutes to download the question


Time Table for the Terminal and Back Paper Examination-2020 paper at the beginning of the exam. Another 20 minutes will be given at the end of two

hours to scan the answer sheets and upload the answer booklet on the selected digital

platform.

Therefore, the total duration of exam = 20 minutes+ 2 hours+ 20 minutes = 2h40 mins

● In order to scan the answer sheets, students are required to download in advance one of

the following apps on their devices:

1. Adobe scan

2. Tap scanner

Both apps are available free of cost at Google Play Store.

● At the end of the examination, each of the answer sheets should be scanned and compiled

together as a pdf file. The pdf file must be saved as NAME(Academic

year)COURSECODE.

For example, a student named Kirti in BA 3rd year will name her file as

KIRTI(BA3)SLF205 if the course code for her exam is SLF205.

If she is in MA 2nd year, she would name her file as KIRTI(MA2)SLF205.

● If students require a demo exam, they may request their course in-charge for it. The

demo exam may be conducted at least three days before the actual exam.

N.B: For each exam, keep an entire set of A4 sheets (20 pages) handy.
