JACKET MATERIALS & COLOR OPTIONS
Nexans AmerCable TPU JacketsFor extremely abrasive environments, AmerCable’sThermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) jacket provides theextra-tough physical characteristics needed in the roughest mining environments.Compared to Nexans AmerCable’s standardCPE jacketing material, TPU provides:
5X more abrasion resistance
2X more tear resistance
2X more tensile strength
Nexans AmerCable CPE JacketsNexans AmerCable’s thermoset Chlorinated Polyethylenejacket provides the physical performance and strength need-ed to resist wear, tear, abrasion and compression cuts caused by everyday mining use.
This tough, durable jacket is a proven performer in minesthroughout the world. Nexans AmerCable’s engineeredcable construction includes a taped-core, integral fill andtandem extrusion of the jacket layers. Two-pass jackets, extruded in tandem, yield an inseparable bond between the layers. Integral filling of the cable core reduces torsion-induced damage.
