DETAILED ITINERARY DAY 01: ARRIVE LHASA (3680M.) The Flight can be taken from Kathmandu to the Tibetan antique city Lhasa’s Airport entitled as Gonkar Airport. The alternative way can be started from Beijing or Chengdu or Shanghai by airways or trains. After we arrive to the Airport or train station, the Tibetan guide will greet us and send us to the stunning Lhasa city. After the transfer, we will rest at the hotel.

DAY 02: LHASAThe Tibet EBC tour starts from today. After our breakfast, we will be leaving for Jokhang temple which is the most famous Temple in Tibet and the Barkhor Street. Not only this, we will also be visiting the Drepung

Monastery in Lhasa. After the long day, we will be staying at a Hotel tonight.

DAY 03: LHASAThe trip to Tibet EBC wouldn’t be all without experiencing the imperative Potala Palace. The Palace is a wonder of Eastern structural design and Lhasa’s prime Landmark. It is there since the fifth or sixth century which was once home to Dalai Lama. After Potala Palace, we will be visiting the great Sera Monastery. O/n at a Hotel.

DAY 04: LHASA - GYANTSE (3950M.) – SHIGATSE (3900M.) Today is the day as we leave to another antique City of Tibet which will start with a drive from Lhasa to Gyantse (3950m.). On the way, we could see the great Khamba la pass and Yamdrok Lake. We will also be visiting Gyantse Khumbum and Tashilunpo Monastery (3900m.) .After the stressful day; we will spend our night in a Hotel.

DAY 05: SHIGATSE - SHEGAR (4050M.)The sight of this wasteland plateau provides phenomenal entertainment as we pass along the Friendship Highway. This stretch is one of the most stunning landscapes in Tibet. After crossing the small city of Lhatse, we will pass Gyamtso La (5220m.) which is the highest pass on our journey. The land rapidly falls down to plains after Gyamtso La. As we pass through the plains, we will see different itinerant herders, isolated Monasteries and calm countryside. O/N at Everest Hotel or similar.DAY 06: SHEGAR - RONGBUK - EVEREST BASE CAMP (5100M.) - RONGBUK (5000M.)This day is the most electrifying day to watch the extravagant sight of Mount Everest from your eye level. After that, we will be driving from Shegar to Rongbuk and the people who are interested to hike can walk from Rongbuk or we can even take a bus ride from Rongbuk to Everest Base Camp. After all the riding and driving, we will be back to Rongbuk over again and stay a night there in a Guesthouse.

DAY 07: RONGBUK - ZHANGMU (2300M.)From Rongbuk, we will drive towards the Zhangmu viewing the wonderful sceneries of the road. We will stay the night at Zhangmu. The total distances between these two palces is 246 Km. the Zhangmu is situated at the altitude of 2300m above sea level.

DAY 08: ZHANGMU – KATHMANDU (1400M.)It is the last day of our thrilling overland Everest Base Camp Tour. After our breakfast, we start a drive from Zhangmu to Kodari. After we reach Kodari, we will be said good-bye by our Tibetan driver and guide and we meet up with our Nepali representative who will assist us with official procedures. We drive back to Kathmandu which is 5 hours drive after that. We will spend our night in one of the Hotel in Kathmandu.

CLOTHING AND EQUIPMENTSCertain basic trekking equipment is essential on all routes we described in this site. Depending on the area and season, we will provide you with a comprehensive list of necessities. Here is some recommended Equipments List for trekking in Nepal.

CLOTHING1. BOOTSLightweight walking boots. If new one is being bought, “walk then in” to avoid blisters. Also bring spare laces.

2. TRACK SHOESA pair of track shoes. To wear in the camp at night or when the boot is wet.

3. JACKETWarm jacket. Fiber fills or down should be adequate. This is especially necessary during winter from December to February. A rainproof jacket with hood or a poncho. Get the one that is guaranteed waterproof.

4. SHIRT AND SWEATERSWoollen shirts and thick sweaters. During winter months, December through February these items are essential. Thick sweaters can be purchased in Kathmandu. 1 lightweight long sleeved -shirt is particularly suitable for avoiding sun burn.

5. TROUSERSA pair of lightweight/ heavy weight trousers. Jeans are unsuitable to wear on treks. Cheap loose cotton pants are available in Kathmandu. Heavyweight trousers are useful higher up in the mountains in the morning and at night. Windproof/ waterproof trousers are necessary on all treks going above 10.00ft.

6. UNDERWEAR

Thermal underwear. These are excellent to sleep in at night in the winter months thermal underwear are quite invaluable.

7. TRACKSUITA tracksuit useful for wearing in camp and in the tent. 2 pair of loose fitting long shorts/ skirts.

8. SLEEPING BAGAs you do not carry it yourself this may be synthetic or down, but it must be 4 season. As most treks pass through a variety of climatic conditions, a long zip is a good idea. A cotton/fleece liner helps keep your sleeping bag clean. Good sleeping bags are expensive but can be rented easily in Kathmandu (Only for treks starting and finishing there)

9. SUN HAT, SUNCREAM/BLOCK & LIP SALVEChoose a high factor sun cream (Factor 20 or stronger) to protect your skin against the sun at high altitude. A combination sun block/lip salve is ideal for facial protection.

10. PERSONAL FIRST AID KITYou should have your own supply of plasters, aspirin, diarrhea tablets and also a comprehensive blister kit. (Please do not give medicines to local people without consulting the trek leader.)

11. HAT/ GLOVE/ SANDLE/ SHOCKS/ UNDERWEARa) A woollen hat to wear in the morning and at night. During winter it is an essential item.

b) A sunhat and ensure it has a wide brim to cover the face and neck.

b) A pair of gloves. Leather with lining and woollen are best. c) 1 pair of sandals to wear in the cities and in camp.

d) 4 pairs of thin and 4 pair of thick woollen socks.

e) Underwear” normal quantity and swimming costume, hankies.

Equipments and Accessories

a) Duffle bag or kit bag to carry to gear while trekking

b) Daypack: This is a small rucksack to carry personal requirement for the day e.g. toilet items, camera, film towel, soap, a boot etc.

d) Snow glasses and sunglasses

e) 2-4 large plastic bags to separate clean clothes from dirty ones.

f) 6 -10 smaller plastic bags to dispose garbage.

g) Wallet and /or money belt with compartment for coins.

h) Toiletries with large and small towels. Toilet paper can buy in Kathmandu and some villages in the mountains.

i) Small headlamp and/ or torch with spare batteries and bulbs

j) candles and lighter to burn toilet paper.

k) Snow gaiters essential during wither and all treks going over at other times.

l) An umbrella (optional), which is quite useful to as a sunshade and useful when it rains.

m) Reading materials, camera and film, game items (optional), note book, rubber band, pen and pencil, envelopes, a diary, a calendar, a pocket knife, binoculars (optional), a small pillow or headrest (optional). Thermoses (optional)- an inflatable sleeping mat, trekking map, adequate
