Join us for Wednesday night meals and Growth Groups

On the menu for dinner at 5:30pm is oven fried chicken, mashed potatoes, California blend vegetables and salad bar. Kids will have grilled cheese sandwiches, chips and fruit. The cost is $3 for adults/youth and $1 for children. Growth Groups for all ages (including children and youth) start at 6:30pm with Chancel Choir at 7:30pm.

This week, we say goodbye to Su Proctor, our church’s administrative assistant. Su has been a faithful employee, a strong team member and a genuine friend to many in our congregation. She will be missed. Churchwide family game night this Friday

Our churchwide game night is this Friday, February 23, 6:30-9:00pm. We will be meeting in Community Rooms A & B and Rooms 105 & 106. All ages and abilities encouraged to participate! The fun will start off with age-friendly group games. Then, you'll have a choice from a wide variety of board and card games to join! Opportunities for two part-time staff positions

CHILDREN’S MINISTRIES COORDINATOR. Georgetown First United Methodist Church is seeking a part-time coordinator of children’s ministries beginning immediately. A job description is included with this morning’s bulletin. For additional information, contact Pastor Greg. Applications will only be received for a few more days since we hope to hire someone soon.. ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT. We are also seeking a part-time administrative assistant beginning in March. This is a salaried position, Tuesday through Thursday from 9:00am until 4:00pm. Deadline for Youth summer mission trip is TODAY

Registration is now open for our youth summer mission trip! We will be traveling again with YouthWorks. This year we are going to the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. This will be an amazing opportunity to learn and grow in our faith as we serve others. Space is limited, so please reserve your spot early! Here are the details:

Kids Own Worship Every Sunday! Kids Own Worship is a fun and interactive time of worship and Bible storytelling for kids ages 3 to fifth grade after children’s moments during the 11:00 service. A nursery for infants to 2 years old is staffed from 9:30am until 12:30pm.

Children can be picked up in the following rooms immediately after worship: 3 & 4 year olds (Room 102), 5 year olds-kindergarten (Room 103), first and second grades (Room 105), third grade (Community Room B), 4th grade (Room 104), fifth grade (Room 106). All these rooms are in the new addition.

New study for Sunday school and Wednesday nights

A new Lenten study of the book The Forgotten Jesus, starts TODAY at 9:45am in Room 12 (Pastor Greg’s office) and this Wednesday, February21 at 6:30pm in Community Room B. Gail Byers, Pastor Greg and Tyler Rauhauser will share in the leadership of this unique study of Jesus from a Jewish perspective. Workbooks are $12. This study does require some reading and homework. A ten-minute video accompanies each lesson.

New J.O.Y Sunday school class starts TODAY

The adult women’s class is starting a Lenten study TODAY at 9:45am in room 105. The new study will be using the book Final Words by Adam Hamilton. The class is led by Kaye Breeding and Jennifer Borders. The class is seven weeks and will run up to Easter. Books are $10. All women are welcome, join us and bring a friend!
