Brett Farquharson representing Scotland in the tournament was unable to defeat India in MWC play downs .
Brett came out strong in the competition, but was distracted by a cool breeze that blew through Tegler Centre, (and under his tartan).

SAFETY PRESENTATION
OCTOBER 4TH ROOM HA 015 12-1 P.M.
When you make your workplace safe for emergency responders who may have to attend a premise, you make it safer for everyone.
The John Petropoulos Memorial Fund (JPMF) safety messages provide a different perspective on workplace safety – that of an emergency responder who may have to attend a premise during an emergency, such as a crime in progress, a fire, or a medi-cal situation.
Join guest speaker Ms. Lindsey Jepson, as she offers her perspective on safety issues of a paramedic who's been in the trenches for a number of years, working as a paramedic and EMT. Growing up as the daughter of a Calgary police officer, Lindsey had a strong appreciation of emergency responder work from a very early age. After having three children, she began her career with Calgary Metro EMS. Recalling very clearly the day that Calgary lost one of “our finest”--Constable John Petroupoulos in such a senseless way had a strong impact on Lindsey. The opportunity to help further John’s legacy by sharing workplace safety messages is a true privilege for her. Lindsey offers first hand,'in the trenches' experiences of
