PCCO-THANKSGIVING Please join us on Thanksgiving morning at 9:00am at the SPC for our annual morning of fellowship. Each year, many churches in our community come together to provide a complete Thanksgiving dinner for area residents. Plan on coming out for an hour to offer your services, get to know the great neighbors around us and most importantly, see how many lives are touched by your kindness on this beautiful day. We also need help with donations of cooked turkeys and baked pies. The turkeys should be dropped off at the SPC on Sunday, November 18, between 12:15-1:00pm. The baked pies need to be dropped off at the SPC on Thanksgiving Eve, Wednesday, November 21, from 4:00-5:00pm. Please contact Diane Sager if you have questions or for more information at 484-354-6719

CAFÉ This year our Catholic Adult Faith Enrichment (CAFÉ) team is offering an Advent Prayer and Discussion Group that will meet on Tuesday evenings. We are gathering for prayer, videos, and discussion on four topics: Prepare the Way Trust in God Watch & Pray The Gift

This series begins Tuesday, November 27 and ends Tuesday, December 18. We will meet from 6:30-7:45 pm in Classroom 1 at the SPC. Registration is encouraged but not required, and there is no cost. Please join us when you can! For more information email [email protected] or call Paul Harkins at 610-466-7494 or Sue Brown at 610-857-2026.

STEWARDSHIP

Thank you to all the families who financially sacrifice to support our Parish and its ministries. When the budget is created, we project the Parish’s ordinary expenses for the upcoming year.

The “Quarterly Goal to Meet Expenses” is calculated by dividing the projected expenses by four quarters. This is the amount that we need in offertory per quarter to avoid a shortfall at the end of the year. During this fiscal quarter, we had a shortfall of over $36,108, or an average of $2,579 per week.

If this trend continues, we will be unable to meet all of our expenses by the end of the year. We will begin updating you on the year-to-date variance on a regular basis in the bulletin.

Please prayerfully consider increasing your weekly offering if possible.

July through September Weekly Quarterly

Sunday Offertory $8,924 $124,937

Offertory Needed to Meet Expenses $11,503 $161,045

Budget Shortfall ($2,579) ($36,108)

WHEN YOU GIVE A PINT, YOU GIVE MORE THAN JUST BLOOD

You give the gift of life, you give someone hope for a second chance, and you give back to the community. Blood transfusions save more than 4 million Amer-icans each year. Our Knights of Columbus will host a Blood Drive through the Miller Keystone Blood Center on Saturday, December 1, from 9:00am-1:00pm at the Schneider Parish Center. If you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment please call Rich Daigle at 610-357-3938

Father John Van de Paer will be celebrating his “98th” Birthday next Thursday, November 29. If anyone would like to send Father John “Birthday Wishes”, below is his contact information:
