The following slides will answer the “what, when, who, how, and why” questions regarding the University of Calvary.

WHAT IS THE UC?(University of Calvary)

• Four weeks of strategic classes and workshops

• Enabling people to more effectively carry out the mission of Christ

HOW WILL THE UCBE ORGANIZED?

• Six or seven classes or workshops will be offered during each month of the UC.

• Three or four classes will be offered Sunday evening and three classes will be offered Wednesday evening.

• At least three core classes will be offered each semester. One elective from each category will be offered each semester.

WHEN WILL THE UC HAPPEN?

• The UC could happen once or potentially twice per year.

• The likely times for the UC would be the first four weeks of the year and the four weeks following Labor Day. The UC could potentially be held for the four weeks following Memorial Day.

• Each class will be offered once per week, meeting either Sunday or Wednesday evening.

WHO WILL PARTICIPATEIN THE UC?

• Every person at Calvary will be encouraged to participate in the UC

• LIFEGroups will be given the option to participate together in one class, or join with other LIFEGroups to host a class. Some LIFEGroups may choose to take a four week recess from meeting. Some LIFEGroups may choose not to participate.

WHO WILL LEAD THE UC?

• The UC will be facilitated through the Spiritual Formation Department.

• Teachers and Workshop Leaders will be recruited by David and those working with him.

• All teachers and workshop leaders will be assisted in developing a four-week curriculum which will effectively fulfill the stated goals for each class.

WHY ADD THE UC?

• The UC provides an opportunity for people to develop their understanding of the nature and revelation of God.

• The UC provides an opportunity for people to consider the practical outworking of such knowledge.
