The Conventions Unpacked The Company Logo The company logo is a feature of the trailer and is used to show audiences the institution that has produced/distributed the film. Companies will often adapt the logo to fit in with the genre of the film. This can indicate to the audience the tone of the film they are seeing. The Conventions Unpacked The Structure - Strong Opening interesting, engaging - Climax combination of music and visuals - Strong Closing leave the audience wanting more (e.g. funny quote, cliff hanger) 8. The Conventions Unpacked The Stars Just like product placement is important in advertising, star placement is important in film trailers.The introduction of certain stars in the trailer can not only be used to sell the film but also introduce the type of film the audiences expect to see based on existing knowledge of the star.
