The solar plexus chakra: • Energy – engagement in the world around us

• Activity- choosing what to act on and what to control

Traumas and Abuses, which impact the third chakra:

• Shaming

• Authoritarianism

• Volatile situations

• Domination of will

• Physical abuse, fear of punishment

• Enmeshment

• Emotional manipulation

• Age-inappropriate responsibilities

If deficient (too little fire), we might experience:• Low energy

• Having weak will, being easily manipulated

• Having poor self-discipline and follow through

• Low self esteem

• Being cold – emotionally and/or physically

• Poor digestion• Collapsed middle

• Attraction to stimulants

• Victim mentality, blaming

• Passive• Unreliable



If excessive (too much fire), we might experience:• Being overly aggressive, dominating, controlling

• The need to be right, or to have the last word

• Being manipulative, power hungry, deceitful

• Attraction to sedatives

• Temper tantrums, violent outbursts

• Stubbornness

• Driving ambition (Type A personality)

• Being competitive

• Arrogance

• Hyperactivity



Physical Manifestations:• Eating disorders

• Digestive disorders, ulcers

• Hypoglycemia

• Diabetes

• Muscle spasms, muscular disorders

• Chronic fatigue• Hypertension

• Disorders of stomach, pancreas, gall bladder, liver



The element of the third chakra is Fire...

Fire is the great transformer, turning wood into ash, water into steam.

In us, the fire can burn away all that no longer serves us and can transform our lives, freeing us to fulfill our purpose, our destiny.



Power – how to claim our own personal power without using power over others, or trying to overpower our own inferior selves (think of our committee – inner

critic, judge, etc).The solar plexus chakra’s job is to change how we think of power and to learn to contain our power within ourselves.

The true purpose of power is transformation.

Power comes from leaving the world of safety (1st and 2nd

chakras) and growing into the unknown.



A bit about the chakras in general:



The chakras are the colors of the rainbow manifesting in us!



Each chakra is responsible for a particular color, but each holds the

whole spectrum.

The chakras are energy vortices, bringing in and processing everything that they encounter on a daily basis.

Imagine the overload that is possible!!



The chakras spin in a wheel-like manner, attracting or repelling activity, like a

whirlpool.

Anything the chakra encounters on its own vibrational level gets pulled into the

chakra, processed, and passed out again.



The content of the chakras is formed by repeated patterns in our daily lives. We

can become stuck in a chakra by repeating these patterns.

Chakras can get bogged down and come to a standstill. When they are slow, we

become lethargic or shut down. When they are overdilated and

processing too fast, we can feel spun out and vulnerable.



Chakras can be opened, closed, excessive or deficient and can change moment to moment, depending on the

situation.They can become stuck.

A closed chakra means avoidance of certain energies.

An excessively open chakra means chronic fixation.

Healing your chakras:Use crystals if you would like. Think of the colors of the chakra and if possible,

use that colored gemstone.Use essential oils if you would like.



Healing your chakrasUse your hands to scan your chakras or ask your animal companion, or in your own way, sense which chakra would like some help. If you feel that more than one chakra is needing attention, always start with the lowest chakra.

1.) Call in Archangel Michael to clear this chakra, to remove anything that might be stuck, anything that is no longer serving you, anything that you want to let go of. Ask Archangel Michael to clear and cleanse this chakra. With your exhale, imagine all that is being released going into a flame above this chakra. With your inhale, call in

Archangel Michael’s cobalt blue light and imagine it clearing your body, mind and soul



Healing your chakrasMaintaining your focus on this chakra:

2.) Call in Archangel Uriel to clear this chakra on an emotional level. Ask that any emotions which

might come up be released into an imaginary flame above the chakra. With your exhale, release any fear, anxiety, worry, guilt, shame, regret, anger, frustration, resentment, sadness, sorrow, sense of

loss or betrayal, grief, etc.

Ask Archangel Uriel to clear and cleanse this chakra. With your inhale, bring in his soft yellow light and imagine it bringing emotional clearing.

Holy Cow

2 cups milk of choice

7 pods crushed cardamom (or ¼ tsp ground)

1 stick cinnamon (or ¼ tsp ground)

2 dates, soaked for 15 minutes to make them easier to blend

¼ tsp black pepper

¼ tsp turmeric

½ tsp finely chopped ginger

1-3 Tbl agave or other sweetener

Bring milk to slow boil for 5-10 minutes with cardamom pods and cinnamon stick. If using almond milk, etc, do not boil, but heat to

near boil then add cardamom and cinnamon. Allow mixture to steep for 5-10 minutes.

Cool slightly, strain, then put in a blender with other ingredients. Blend for a minute or two on high.

Cow’s milk is revered for its healing powers in India. Turmeric is an anti-inflammatory and anti-carcinogen.

Fortifying Fig Shake

¼ cup coconut milk

½ cup filtered water

2 large or 3 small figs cut in small pieces

1 date, pitted and then finely chopped

Dash cinnamon

Place all ingredients in a blender and puree at high speed until smooth and frothy.

In the Ayurvedic tradition, figs and dates convey energy to those who eat them. Cinnamon is believed to lower cholesterol and is

effective in treating diabetes.

Use 2 oz glass spray bottle, add essential oils, then fill with purified water to neck of bottle. Shake well.

To make a roll-on, use the same amount of oils, then fill the bottle with a carrier oil. To put the roller ball on,

set it loosely on top, then put the screw top on and twist it to lock the roller ball in place.
