April AuctionApril 25 th - It’s not too early to start thinking of the April Auction. We will have a short meeting starting at 7pm, with a brief break following, then the fun begins with the auction. For those that are new to this, you may bring in items that are of interest to our club members and saleable, you can request donations from businesses (such as restaurants’, oil change garages, car washes, auto parts stores, florist shops, bakeries, etc). We do have letters for businesses for any donations given – if businesses would like one, PLUS – if you get their business card, we will advertise in an upcoming newsletter. Everyone receives a number at the door, and when the ‘auction’ begins, you just shout out your bid or hold up your number. Good times are had by all!! –

It includes an introduction letter, giving them a bit of history on the club, what activities we do, such a nursing home visits, parades, other events, and tours. Plus what happens at our meetings, such as speakers, potlucks, the Annual Auction, plus. Also included is an application and two or three past newsletters to give the prospective member an idea of what we do and where we go. SO – pass along the name and address to me – Bonnie Woodman and I’ll get the ‘packet’ sent out.

Odds & Ends

Volunteer Services Requested:My name is Marybeth Scheid.  I am an event specialist who is planning a wedding for a couple this August 12th. They really want to be driven from the church to the reception in a vintage Ford (somewhere in the 1930’s era) black or white car.  Is there anyone in your club who would be willing to rent their vehicle for this amazing wedding event?  The couple live in Ada, but will be married in a small church near Belding, MI with the reception being held in Ada MI.  I really am trying to make their dream come true by finding this vehicle for them.  They also may want a few other vehicles for their bridal party….but for now I would like to at least secure the perfect vehicle for them. If your club doesn’t have anything like I am looking for, would you know anyone else who might?

Thanks,Marybeth Scheid - Event [email protected]
