President’s Report
BY GLENN RODRICK
Hope y’all got stuffed for Thanksgiving!
Still time to throw your hat in the ring to make a difference on the TSC
Board of Directors. Nominations for offices will be accepted until the
close of the December membership meeting.
New members, feel free to come out on Tuesday evenings and check
out the committee meetings. This is a great way to get involved in a
particular interest you have and meet some new folks.
We will once again be at the Sportsman’s Show in January. TSC has a
booth in the Expo Hall where we promote our club. We also will be
manning the Trout Pond, which is always really fun for the kids. Please
volunteer to help your club.
I’m looking forward to renewing a working relationship with all the
Clubs and Conservation groups that come to visit us, in the coming
year. Many also rent our facilities as well, for a variety of events.
Remember to nominate someone for the yearly awards. Forms are
available in the office or at the bar. The meeting to determine the
recipients will be Tuesday, December 17th at 7pm.
Congratulations to all those who were able to harvest meat, fruit or
vegetable this season. And if you have some recipes for tag soup,
send them in. We’ll review them and post the top 3.
Don’t forget to report your harvest to the Department of Fish and
Wildlife.
Wishing everyone a safe and very Merry Christmas and Happy New
Year.

We hope you were able to attend the great Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife event at our
club on September 28th. The Puyallup Valley Gem & Mineral Club were also able to participate in
the Chateau for a great day all around. If you’re looking for a great family hobby this may be it!
In the off hunting season it will give you a chance to explore new areas with your family and be
around like minded people. We use the same game managements areas and you may find some
new areas too.
You may also wish to join some of these other clubs in our community: Washington Waterfowlers
Association, local PTA’s, Washington State Archery Association, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation,
Coastal Conservation Association and Ducks Unlimited.

Peil Range Fun Shoot The Peil Range is going to be open from 9am to 1pm,
Saturday, December 7th for a
.22 rimfire shoot. The range has 10 stations.
This range is a great place to bring the kids and first time shooters and not
have to compete with the noise of the big bore rifles.
There will be swing targets, stationary targets and a few other exciting targets
to shoot at as well!
Be sure to bring plenty of ammo.

Harris Country Nights If you couldn’t make it on November 9th to the Jonathan Harris’s concert
you missed a great event! We’re hoping to have him back again soon. It
was a great crowd, awesome music and lots of dancing.
We were also surprised and happy to have Leah Justine, Nashville recording
artist, show up and she sang a few songs too!
