ABOUT THE RHODE S ISTERS
This month marks The Rhode Sisters’ fourth anniversary as a trio and they are thrilled to celebrate by returning to Oconomowoc. They have also appeared at Skylight Opera Theatre, Sunset Playhouse, the Racine Theatre Guild and Schauer Center (with John McGivern), as well as numerous private events and fundraisers. All three sisters have taken on instruments played by their parents and grandpar-ents. Audiences of all ages love their tight harmony singing and healthy sibling rivalry--slightly raucous, slightly relevant, and slightly related!
B IOGR APHIES
Alissa Rhode Alissa always enjoys an excuse to hang out with her feisty folk sisters. She otherwise stays out of trouble &
keeps busy as a music director, arranger, composer, conductor, performer and private teacher. Regionally, Alissa has worked with groups such as Lake Superior Big Top Chautauqua, American Folklore Theatre, Children’s Theatre of Madison, First Stage Children’s Theatre and Milwaukee Chamber Theatre. She is now pleased to add “proud aunt” to her list of credentials.
Alissa has worn many hats in Milwaukee area theaters, including music director, arranger, composer, piano-conductor, and all-around keyboard gal. (Rhonda Rae thinks she should just pick one.) Alissa also teaches private piano and voice, and currently serves as Lead Music Director for the First Unitarian Society of Milwaukee. She holds her Bachelor’s in Music Composition from the University of Illinois and her Master’s in Liberal Studies from UW-Milwaukee.
Molly Rhode Molly loves being part of this all-girl band! When away from her sisters, Molly works as an actor, director, and
choreographer for professional theatres all over Wisconsin. She is currently performing with Forward Theater Company and Milwaukee Chamber Theatre in their collaboration of A Thousand Words, and she will soon spend another summer with American Folklore Theatre up in Door County. Molly is recently a new mother and is so much in love. Sweet Silvia Louise is 9 weeks old. No one can wait to find out what instrument Silvia will play in the family band.
Rhonda Rae Busch Having grown up with all brothers, Rhonda Rae loves being a Rhode Sister! You may have seen her
acting and singing in many area productions – most recently as Widow Paroo in Music Man (Skylight), Mrs. Bixby in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers(Fireside), and Mavis in Church Basement Ladies (Marcus Center). She is currently in rehearsals for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (FirstStage), and this summer will be back at the Marcus Center in Packer Fans from Outer Space! Rhonda Rae’s home is always alive with music. She is the proud wife of Bill Busch, a music director, and mother of Emily, a flute player and Adam, a trombone player!
